Really good hotel for Cheltenham and the staff were very helpful when our room was too noisy - next to a pump room for the hotel heating.

Room was small but okay. The bed was very comfy. However the en-suite was very small the basin was tiny because of the lack of space and was in the way of the toilet. Shower cubicle was very small and the levers hit each other. So when you turned the water on the lever was in the way of the temperature adjustment. I guess they put me in that room because I was a single traveller. Breakfast was nice. I won’t be recommending it to anyone which is a shame because it was recommended to me by a colleague so I imagine the other rooms are better. However I will not be going back. The staff were lovely. They told me the reason the en-suite was cramped was because that side of the building was listed.

Lovely property but very much an old building so a lot of walking to rooms, restaurant and pool areas going up and down stairs. Not ideal if you have a pram or lots of luggage. Picturesque location with a pub next door.

It is a nice hotel in a good location with some faded glamour to it. Great sized room, though it is a bit of a walk if your room is in the 400s! The big down side was the Spa was very much in need of repair, showers out of order, toilets as well. Also if you want treatments make sure you book them before you arrive, there is very limited space.

Lovely comfortable beds surprisingly spacious rooms. Staff are all pleasant and helpful. The facilities are wonderful clean and easy to use. Only one downside there is no lift to facilitate anyone with disabilities to the different levels. Absolutely perfect for our needs though and will be going back.

Pool area and changing rooms really poor run down and dirty. Reception friendly and breakfast very nice Room was comfortable but am alarm went off at 4am in our room duty manager couldn't stop it in the end my husband found a switch in the cupboard that turned it off. It wasn't a fire alarm , Google suggested an intruder alarm. Terrible night and our first night away without the kids in 5 years, absolutely gutted. Lots of stairs to rooms so not good for less abled.

Conditions of leisure facilities not up to the usual Hilton standard. 2 of the 3 showers in the mens changing area ‘out of service’ with the 3rd one only giving out freezing water. The pool water was also too cold. Bedroom was comfortable and clean.

Fisrt night stay, restaurant was fully booked, but told we could order food from the bar. We did i ordered curry for £17 it had 4 bits of chicken the rest was vegatables and cold rice with soggy nam bread. We had to walk past the resturant to get to our room and im a smoker, every time i walked past i looked into the restaurant it had a maximum of 15 people and id say over 50% of the tables empty. First of all it was freezing. Problem with the heating - I would expect a full refund (not offered). Arrived too late for restaurant food so asked about 24hr room service…apparently only starts at 11pm and ends s for drinks only!!? Went to the bar for some crisps/nuts to be told they’d run out…who stays at a hotel where you can’t get anything to eat…unimpressed

Great hotel. Friendly staff. Late breakfasts until 11. Check out at midday.

We had a fantastic one night stay at the double tree Cheltenham. The bedroom was beautiful with a lovely bathroom. The service was second to none, from the barman to the fantastic waitress Justina who couldn’t do enough for us and made us feel welcome. We will definitely return

Everything was pretty good but menu in dining room could be improved. Allowing Spa guests at hotel to dine in main pleasant dining room in their towelling dressing gowns in evening when others dressed properly was an unbelievable mix and intolerable ; where are standards going- this certainly was unacceptable!

Everything we expected and more,staff very helpful room had all we wanted,except the loop i found myself in trying to set up an account to get wifi log in ,however it didnt detract from our stay of one night.Very clean,breakfast was very good with a great choice,will be back again.Thanks.

The bedding was really comfortable and all amenities were great, however, the breakfast wasn't as nice as it could be. The sausages were massively overcooked and the mushrooms were boiled or steamed which was a bit gross, they should be fried on a grill.

Spa and gym closed, uninformed When rarely open gym showers and spinner do not work Bar closed at inappropriate hours, ie midnidnight new years eve! Bar empty. Bar pumps not working. Staffing inadequate. Hotel tired, breakfast poor. Guests not equally catered for, i.e function booking prioritsed. Normal guests ignored. Extremely overpriced for normal guests and ignored in favour of function. Breakfast food quality poor. Do the right thing and refund your inadequacies. Not represtentAtive of the doubletree brand. I feel ripped off. Disgusting at best. Be ashamed of your service and offering.

We had a wonderful New Year’s Eve stay! Our first time at the hotel, was a lovely area in the Cotswolds to stay in. The restaurant was sadly shut for a private event however we used Marstons next door which was great. We did hear of fireworks which we asked reception and they said we were unable to watch which was disappointing. Cookies on welcome was a lovely surprise and the room was very stylish and clean. The only points I would say is the tea/coffee facilities in the room could do with modernising & the £5 car park charge was a shock to us when we’re checking out as we was not advised at check in. Breakfast was really fresh and varied selection. Overall a great stay and would come back again :)
