Novotel Southampton

Internet connectivity was poor. However when infofmed to the staff. At once our room wS changed for better connectivitu. Also extended 30mins checkout time. Overall, helpfull and friendly staff.

Overall a great stay. Location perfect for walking to/from Cruise Port and city centre. Pool and sauna lovely to chill out. Found it odd that the toilet in our room is separate from the rest of the bathroom. Comfortable bed and plenty amenities in room.

Hotel old and dated. Childrens area ok. Tables left for ages un cleared. Ants of table at reception and later found one in the fridge in my room. Rooms very hot and only a fan to help cool down which doesnt do much. Not enough staff at breakfast to help re stock or clear tables. Stayed at this hotel 2 separate nights before and after cruising with 2 kids and both times asked for early check in if possible and neither times was our room ready before the 3pm check in. I understand they have to clean the rooms but i was willing to pay extra to get into the room earlier, i thought they might have asked the maid to do our room as priority but no. Drinks in hotel were very expensive so we only had 2. Overall it was ok but i wouldnt stay again

We booked a fully wheelchair accessible room with roll in shower. The room had a bath which my husband wasn't able to get into. Also there was no air conditioning and the room becmane hot during the night. Would not book this hotel again as it did not meet our booked requirements

Lovely room. Great breakfast. Lovely staff. Downsides were the toilet in the room is separate to bathroom and quite claustrophobic. There’s not much room. And secondly there’s no flexibility regarding using the swimming pool which is why I booked the hotel. Most hotels if they have restrictions on only so many allowed in the pool at one time, having a booking rota so you can pick a convenient time but there aren’t this flexible and you can only use it once checked in or before checking out. So we never got to use the pool at all. We had breakfast quite late so no time for using pool before checkout. They should have a better system

Clean and tidy room with a comfy bed, slightly outdated but still good for a business trip. Pool was good and gym facilities too. Drive in room was really handy

Reception and dining area lovely and clean as was our room. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Stayed here after our cruise for one night Room was clean a quite a good size Staff where helpful and friendly. Nice and close to shopping mall and plenty of food options Would stay again

Only issue was lack of AC…didn’t affect us but summer time could be a problem. Room clean, breakfast great, staff were lovely. Can walk from train station which is a bonus.

Breakfast menu was fresh and had a good variety. Breakfast staff were exceptionally good and check in was smooth

All very good even the price!!!! The receptionist amazing, good job!!!! Professional, kind, smiling, friendly…..the pool and the gym also nice and included in the price of the room!Amazing! Maybe need more selection of good spirits in the bar ( no tequila)! Thank you everyone!

Well kept

Nice hotel, good food and facilities and close to the station. Comfortable, clean and quiet.

Our room was clean and well prepared. The full english breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice, and the bar was well attended in a very pleasant ambience. All the staff were very pleasant helpful and professional, you couldn't ask for better.

Clean room, very friendly staff, quiet rooms, couch and desk chair were very comfortable, had a reliable safe and mini fridge that held all our items needing refrigeration overnight. A great little stay for us before heading up to see the coastal causeway. It was across the street from the train station so very convenient for travellers such as ourselves.
