The Old Mill Hotel

Very nice one night stay ..Room was lovely ..not overly big but just right for a night away.Lovely Italian restaurant within hotel..lovely staff. Breakfast was included in the price of the night stay..No English cooked which might not be for everyone but a lovely buffet. Lovely quiet spot..& location was fabulous.

Nice room , bathroom needs updating , as does the communal seating area, nice surroundings .

We were there for 2 nights, hot water was faulty on the shower, we reported this on the first morning but it not fixed.

Lovely settings, very comfortable bed, great breakfast. All in all a very good overnight stay

Shower temperature Tap wasn’t working,not turning properly,very,very,loose,kept coming off was hard to Reduce temperature water as was Hot?Was told by Maintenance Man the Part for Shower temperature Tap was on Order and would be in for Another Week! I Wasn’t Happy or Impressed with this.Apart from that Issue the Staff were Excellent Customer Care,Very Polite,Helpful,in Every Aspect.

The property is located outside of bath and is a lovely piece of history. Calm and peaceful surroundings by a river and some fields. The gentleman that checked us in was lovely. The room was clean and great for the price paid, although a few minor problems with shower shampoo dispenser and WiFi on TV. The breakfast was ok but I think small improvements could have been made- no bin... Minor inconvenience but walking around with rubbish in your hand is frustrating. No plant based milk ready to go or gluten free bread etc... fruit could have been fresher. More of a continental breakfast and no full English options but it wasn't the end of the world. We had some food to fill up on before a lovely walk around Bath and Bristol. Outside of hotel could do with some love but it's lovely otherwise.

Beautiful territory and nice rooms, but very neglected. There is a strong upleasant smell in the room and when we complained we were offered cleaning and air freshener, but nothing else.

Unethical, Rude, and Dishonest I had an extremely disappointing experience with this property. After accidentally leaving behind a valuable gold necklace, I was initially told it could be returned once I paid for the postage — which I was happy to do of the £7.90. Later, they demanded an unexpected £11 fee that was never mentioned p agreed upon, or shown in writing prior. Worse still, they admitted they would have attempted to take this additional payment from my account without permission — an unauthorised and unethical action that seriously breaches trust. The duty manager, Ellie, was incredibly rude and unprofessional throughout. She claimed I’d be sent a copy of the policy guidelines explaining the charge, but despite several requests, I never received it. I was also promised a callback to confirm details before anything would be posted, which never happened. When I stated I would pay but still wanted to see the policy, she abruptly disconnected the call. Holding onto someone’s personal property unless they pay an unagreed fee, refusing transparency, and handling the situation with such hostility is completely unacceptable. I felt scammed and disrespected. I strongly urge others to steer clear of this business. Their conduct is dishonest, their customer service is appalling, and their approach is both unethical and deeply unprofessional.

It's a good place out of the city but only 10 minutes away

Had a good night's sleep. The parking is challenging. If the car park is full there is no obvious alternative

Our bedroom was in the annex with a modern en suite shower, really comfortable double bed and wall mounted tv. The small wardrobe was just ok for 3 nights stay. We counted 25 cars parked. On site restaurant focuses on Italian with limited choice if you are long-stay. Good quality but we had to go elsewhere for fish and chips - no frier!

The property provided us with one of the best country side views we have ever experienced with the UK. We loved the quietness of the Old Mill and the fact it was not central to Bath itself....although on our first evening we found the walk into Bath a little long as we were somewhat weary from travel and yet to get our heads around taxis and bus routes etc. We hope to go back to the Old Mill...

Brilliant last minute break for one night, ideal for piece and quiet. The £1 toll both outside but not a problem , as it's a bit of history on the door step. Early morning open the balcony door with an air ballon on the skies. Breakfast with the old watermill outside.

Good hotel with excellent restaurant for lunch and evening meal however breakfast was continental only. Pastries and croissants were not fresh and on the hard side on both mornings. A coffee machine would be a welcome addition rather than instant sachets. Rooms are lovely and comfortable. Good telly signal. Good Wi-Fi. Fridge. Windows did not close properly so you could hear the weir but that did not bother us at all. Great views out of windows. This hotel is not for guests with mobility issues. Lots of stairs and they are very steep. Parking is reasonably priced at £10 per stay but it’s on a first come first served basis which makes you think if you use your car whilst you’re there you might not get parked when you get back!
