El Encanto was a wonderful stay, we were there for a wedding, from the outside you could not imagine the beauty with in, it’s rustic and beautiful and great picture ops all around the hotel, if you get the corner room it has a balcony looking out to the cathedral and wow, the rooftop bar was where the wedding took place breath taking view of the cathedral and when lit at night wow, wonderful all around, only complaints I have to give bathroom in our room had water marks on the ceilings and walls, some rooms did smell a little damp or moldy from what I was told, steak at the reception did not meet anyone’s expectations it was tough and dry could not be cut or chewed at all, other than that the rest of the food an cocktails were delicious, Hotel is very centric everything is within walking distance, plenty of delicious restaurant all around

El Encanto lives up to its name-- beyond its unparalleled location, the staff could not be more gracious and just lovely and the rooms are great. The rooftop bar *does* make for loud evenings, and the encaustic tile floors look like they could be brighter, but these are small details that did not in any way mar an excellent experience. I will definitely be back.

I read the reviews about ac not working properly so I made sure to ask about the ac. They assured me it was working. I left AC on Coldest setting and it never got cool. I let staff know the next day as well. Horrible sleeping experience when it’s hot. Overall the place is cool.

The air conditioning did not work. The room was hot, humid, and uncomfortable. In the morning I went to check out and was in the elevator with my luggage. The door closed, I pressed the button, and then nothing. I was trapped inside and had to call the front desk on my phone to get someone to come help me get out.
