Great hotel with fantastic staff. Always stay here when in Glasgow

Good, central location close to all amenities. No kettle in the room.

The room was clean and quiet, the bed was very comfortable and the shower room was fine. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The room had no kettle and there was a large empty space at one end, yet no table or chairs, with just a folding stool hung on a wall, a narrow shelf and another fold down shelf.

I’ve stayed here a lot, and over the years it’s been fading. While it’s clean and fine for a night, you start to notice things like not being able to deadbolt the door, a cracked glass (plastic), the TV channels glitching, and the carpets in the hallways looking old. It’s also notable that being a PointA member has not got me the cheapest deals either. The prices have gone way up, which is perhaps understandable in the recent climate, but for bare bones accommodation it’s reducing value for money. There are self check-in terminals now which is good but it might be handy to have a separate area for staff help because there’s no point in them if the staff do it for you. The area next to the hotel is grim which is unfortunate, but the hotel is handy for Buchanan Street, various music venues, lots of good restaurants and bars so if it’s a short stay, it’s fine. Breakfast is decent - not cooked but that’s probably a blessing and everything is fresh and nice.

Staff in reception were so friendly and very chatty. Lovely guys ! Fab staff. Good location. Lovely small room we had a rubbish view right enough. Didn’t notice when booking but there isn’t tea making facilities in the rooms and I do like my cups of tea. I would have liked 2 pillows too as there is only one on the bed. Was ok for a night away and was a very good price so would probably stay again.

Great location - Cheap overnight stay, lovely and approachable staff! Only bad thing was the cleanliness of the walls in the room with stains, TV remote was dirty as well as light switches above the bed.

Comfortable room in a great location.

This hotel has been on my radar to stay at as a regular visitor to Glasgow. Reception staff were not very friendly and frosty in their welcome but this is a nice hotel despite the staff . Disabled friendly room which was comfortable but excellent location for the pubs and restaurants nearby and a 10 minute walk to both of Glasgow’s rail stations

Stayed previously and love the quirky set up with places to put things, drop down table and a space saving hanging chair should you require a seat.nice ambience and convenient for buchanan bus station..especially early departure

Nice cozy stay . Only thing I can complain about is a few hairs in the shower and dirty marks on the bed sheets

Good spot and staff were very helpful.

They do the basic stuff really well. Don't expect a fancy room with all the trimmings but that's unrealistic at the price. it is decently equipped with the necessities built in a modern way.

Room was very cold on entering, even with heat on max the room was never that warm. Light bulbs out in the room and bathroom. Comfy stay and very clean. Would sill stay again

Easy checking in process, clean and spacious room, comfortable bed. It would have been good to have a kettle and a hand towel in the room.

I couldn’t believe how well appointed & situated this hotel is. For one person who needed only a bed for 2 nights it was perfect. Great shower & comfy bed. I came prepared with my travel kettle & coffee supplies which is all I need in the mornings! Plenty of power & USB points. Only thing was the room was a bit cold on arrival but I just got straight into bed with my hot water bottle. Ha ha…yes I’m old!!
