The best part about the property was the location which is right on the gran via. The room was nothing like the images. The floor tiles broken and in the bathroom as well with a strange odor coming from bathroom. If you want to save some money then book this, but spend entire day out in the city. Overall, you get what you pay for.

Hotel bien ubicado, pero instalaciones viejas y descuidadas, nuestra estancia el primer día fue patética la habitación con una cama super pequeña donde al siguiente día pedimos que nos. Ambularan de habitación y nos dieron una con una mejor cama pero con el aire acondicionado malo, hicimos el reclamo para que repararan el aire y cuando llegamos en la noche no habían hecho nada y la persona del turno de la noche lo que me dio fue un ventilador para que tratara de dormir por qué no tenían habitaciones disponibles para cambiarnos, pasamos otra noche sin poder dormir y en la mañana hicimos el reclamo donde la manager que nos atendió de forma grocera y sin ganas de resolver lo que hizo fue discutir que allí ya habían arreglado el problema, la invité a subir a la habitación y el técnico fue con ella y se percataron de que el aire no servía, les envié un correo electrónico para que me hicieran un ajuste en el precio por las mallas noche que pagué y no disfruté pero no he tenido respuestas, así que piénsenlo antes de ir a este hotel muy mal estado

Depart. Impecable,vista hermosa, cómodo, amplio, con cocina bien equipada, baño cómodo, muy buena ducha, el problema fue que pagué con aire acondicionado, y 3 días no estuvo roto, con 34 grados fue difícil! Dormir así !

The location was great. Right on Gran Via. Property is run down. Apartments/Condo converted into hotel. A/C's temperature is the same for every room. You can't control it. We were hot. Bath is extremely, extremely small. We stayed 1 night. Don't think we will stay there again.

Pésima experiencia en Smart Madrid Gran Vía Desde que llegué, la experiencia fue decepcionante. A pesar de haber llegado a la hora establecida para el check-in, la habitación no estaba lista y tuve que esperar más de una hora y media. Para colmo, el aire acondicionado del edificio no funcionaba bien, y tuve que insistir y discutir para que me cambiaran a una habitación donde por lo menos funcionara el aire, ya que hacía mucho calor. La habitación era extremadamente pequeña, con camas incómodas y estrechas. La limpieza dejaba mucho que desear, especialmente en los pasillos. En el baño, la ducha estaba rota: el cabezal se caía y tenía que usarlo con la mano. En resumen: si estás buscando un lugar cómodo y decente para disfrutar unos días en Madrid, evita este hotel. No lo recomiendo para nada.

I chose the hotel because on the description states that it has air conditioning. For the 3 nights I was there the air conditioner didn’t work, I reported it right away 2 or 3 times during the day and they kept promising that they would send somebody to fix it but never happened, the smell in the room was horrible, it was hard to describe, ur smelled like chemical cleaners, kind of like when you use industrial cleaners in a not ventilated area. I had to buy an air freshener and spray it several times a day and keep the windows open. A dog was barking in the room next door. Because I had no AC with the outside temperature of 28-30 degrees we had to sleep with the window open and you could hear the big avenue noise all night. I had a 3 night stay and when I checked it there was only half a roll of toilet paper for 2 people. After such a bad experience I just decided not to ask for it and just go to the store to buy my own. Te remote for the tv didn’t work. I desisted from keeping to ask about the AC as I could tell front desk was getting annoyed that I kept asking for it. Someone from the morning shift, a guy with a thick beard when I asked about the AC he raised his voice and in a rude manner without even looking at me he said “I KNOW, WE ARE WORKING ON IT” I liked seating in the lobby where the AC was working all the time and it was cool. I guess that’s why they didn’t bother to fix the AC. As long as they are nice and cool they couldn’t care about the comfort of the guests.

It’s a perfect secret in the Gran Via. It’s like a small studio. We even got a balcony! Old building but you veg everything you need. This is location! Location! Location! The name won’t be outside the building. Just look for the number.

The hotel was really walking distance to every attraction . The room was not ready at check in but they let me leave my laugage to start my journey. The breakfast they offer is in another hotel across the street it was ok.

The good points are: the location, beds (bed and sofa) and bathroom. Bad points: room is too noisy ( there are bars and a lot of parties until 6-7 am) is difficult to sleep. The a/c doesnt work well, they say we will hace soap to clean dishes and we didnt get any. We had to leave early because a family emergency so we couldnt check for solutions

The property is old. The rooms are old, lack of identity, poor toilets, old floor/ceiling , mostly everything is super old. The only good thing is the location that is very good in the middle of everything

Stated May9-13 8th floor. Tried contacting hotel twice about check in time. No reply. Room is nice. Spacious. Balcony nice and spacious. There's is a table and chairs on balcony. But no pillows. Stated in the listing the room has air-conditioning. But upon arrival we were told there's only air conditioning in june-aug. That was not made clear during booking. We were quite warm. And could not keep the balcony door open, as it had no screen to block bugs/animal. We did not sleep well because of this. Contacted hotels.com. It's been 5 days since I filed complaint. And hotels.com says they're still trying to reach the hotel to rectify the situation. The area is central to everything. There is a small elevator.
