About Hunter Valley Wildlife Park

Hunter Valley Zoo has acres of both Australian and exotic animals, including koalas, dingoes, monkeys, white lions, American alligators, and more. Learn about their natural habitat, vulnerability, and unique characteristics from the talks of Hunter Valley keepers. Aside from the kangaroo and lorikeet walkthrough area, the park also features a cafe that overlooks alligators and lemurs, as well as communal BBQ facilities for the whole family.

Child policy:

Children under 3 years are free of charge.

Good to know: 

Admission does not include animal encounters. Separate tickets can be purchased at the park entrance.
Morning visits are recommended as animals are most alert during early hours.
You are encouraged to enter by 3:00 PM to maximise your Hunter Valley Wildlife Park experience.
Check the official website for the daily opening hours and keeper talk schedule prior to your visit.
The paths around the park are dirt and grass but are still wheelchair-accessible.
Communal BBQ facilities are available for guests on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved.
Hunter Valley Wildlife Park Cafe closes at 3:00 PM.
The park closes at 2:00 PM on 25 December.

Encounter Programs:

Children 16 years and under must be accompanied by a paying adult 18 years of age or older.
Pre-registration on official website is required for all Encounter programs.
Participants must be in covered shoes.
Participants must check-in at the park a minimum of 45 minutes prior to encounter start time.
