The Vredeburg Fortress Museum is strategically located in the city center. Its ambiance and buildings harken back to the Dutch East Indies era. It's a sight to behold when visiting Yogyakarta.

This place is more suitable for toddlers who like to run, because it's very spacious. The photo spots are not very good and tend to be monotonous. Actually, I don't really know what activities are there, because there is really minimal information there.

In this fort we can learn about history. Then, even though this building is a historical building, we can still take aesthetic photos in this fort. On weekends we can see fountain shows and historical stories in this fort.

For those who like history, you must come here. Here, the history is explained and there are visual examples of the situation when it happened. And there is a video about the March 1948 incident (if I'm not mistaken) The place is spacious, clean and comfortable When entering, just show your ticket barcode at the entrance.

I visited the museum with my nieces and had a wonderful experience. We purchased our tickets online through app, the process was very easy and quick. The museum itself is well-maintained: clean, tidy, and nicely organized. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful, making our visit even more enjoyable. We had a great time and definitely plan to come back again in the future!
