I came on the weekend and there were not many crowds. Love the new exhibition (until Oct 2024). The staff were friendly and helpful. So worth it, I had a good time.

Get ready to be amazed by two special exhibitions at the MACAN Museum! "Pointing to the Synchronous Windows" presents a selection of works from the museum's collection that are full of surprises. From big names like Keith Haring, Yoshitomo Nara, to local maestros like Affandi and Sudjojono, this exhibition is a meeting place for art across generations and countries. 

Moving on to the second exhibition, "The Sea is Barely Wrinkled," an artistic journey full of meaning from Kei Imazu, a Japanese artist who is now based in Bandung. Through large installations and stunning paintings, Imazu explores Indonesia's colonial history, contemporary environmental issues, and captivating local mythological stories.
