It uses a bamboo tube about 80 cm long and 10 cm in diameter, with the nodes removed and wrapped tightly with rope. The tube is filled with 1.8 to 3 kg of black powder mixed with iron filings, made from potassium nitrate, sulfur, and charcoal. The performer holds the tube firmly against their side with both hands, producing a massive pillar of fire. At the end, a flame called "Hane" bursts out at the performer's feet with a loud bang, creating a spectacular display.
