On this tour, guests will be picked up from the hotel and brought to Doi Suthep Mountain, located towards the west of Chiang Mai. They will head to Wat Doi Suthep, which is said to be one of the most sacred temples in the province. They will then head to the Doi Piu Village, which will take them back to the heyday of the opium era. The village was once the centre of trade and the plantation of the opium plant.
Also included in the itinerary is a moderate trek uphill following the forest trail at the Hmong Village in Ban Mae Sa Mai. Guests will stop at the Hmong tribe village, and a guide will orient them on the varieties of trees planted to replace the illegal plants. They will then visit the Hmong Museum and the FORRU tree nursery. Amidst the mountain views on both sides, guests will stop to visit the footprint of Buddha and have their picnic lunch.
