When it comes to visiting South Korea, most people think that there are not a lot that you can do there apart from shopping or enjoying traditional dishes. Not many people know that like Japan, South Korea is also home to a fun amusement park: Lotte World.
Lotte World is an amusement park that is divided into an indoor area (Adventure) and an outdoor area (Magic Island). Opened in 1989, Lotte World is the world's largest indoor amusement park as it comes equipped with a shopping center, five-star hotel, sport facility, and a museum.
Located in Songpa, Lotte World offers various rides and attractions meant for all ages. Although not as popular as popular as Tokyo Disneyland, this theme park under the management of Lotte Group is an ideal destination to visit with your friends, family, or even your loved one.
As mentioned before, Lotte World is divided into two areas:
Most of the rides located within the indoor part of Lotte World are geared toward kids. Even so, there are also various adrenaline pumping rides such as the Conquistador, Fly Venture, French Revolution, and more. If you happen to visit Seoul when it's below 20 degrees outside, this is the perfect place to visit.
Although it holds the title as the largest indoor amusement park in the world, Lotte World also possess an outdoor area that is just as fun. In Magic Island, you'll get to enjoy more challenging rides such as Gyro Spin, Atlantis roller coaster, or Gyro Swing. Of course, there are also rides for your kids here. The outdoor area is surrounded by the scenery of the beautiful Seokchon Lake. Make sure to come during the spring or fall when the cherry trees start to blossom or when the leaves start to turn red.
