Jakarta, 10 June 2021 – Through the Traveloka COVID-19 Vaccination Center, which was carried on 2-4 June 2021, Traveloka - a lifestyle superapp in Southeast Asia, plays an active role in supporting the government's efforts to vaccinate Indonesians through the South Tangerang City Health Office and the South Tangerang City Government. The Vaccination Center in South Tangerang has served 4,844 recipients who received their first dose of vaccine, including the elderly, people with disabilities, and teaching staff. The Traveloka COVID-19 Vaccination Center, which was inaugurated by Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Indonesian Minister of Health, and Benjamin Davnie, Mayor of South Tangerang, is a manifestation of close collaboration and cross-sectoral synergy between the government and the business sector (public-private partnership).

Albert, Co-Founder of Traveloka, expressed his sincere appreciation to everyone who participated in and contributed to the success of the event, which was part of Traveloka's #JalanBersama Fighting COVID-19 initiative. “We would like to express our gratitude to the Central Government and the City of South Tangerang for granting permission and placing their trust in Traveloka to establish the Traveloka COVID-19 Vaccination Center in South Tangerang. With increasing vaccination rates in South Tangerang, we expect that herd immunity will be established quickly, allowing the country's socioeconomic recovery to proceed as planned," Albert explained.

In addition to utilizing technology through the Traveloka platform to deliver a simple and well-scheduled online registration procedure to minimize congestion, Traveloka also plays a role in providing venues and designing efficient administration. To fulfill the ideal vaccine requirements, the second dose of vaccination for participants in South Tangerang will be held on 30 June to 2 July 2021 at the same venue.

All of the 4,844 vaccination recipients are also eligible for free insurance products from Medishield Insurance. If the vaccine recipient experiences a specific reaction after vaccination and requires hospital care, the insurance protection includes an Inpatient Cash Benefit with an insured value of Rp.150,000,-/day for a maximum of 14 days from the date of vaccination.

South Tangerang, as is well known, serves as a buffer zone for the capital city, DKI Jakarta, which is rapidly growing in its economic sector. According to data from the Investment Activity Report (LKPM) received by DPMPTSP of Banten Province, South Tangerang achieved investment realization of Rp. 2.58 trillion and 1,024 projects with a workforce absorption of up to 3,655 people between January and September 2020. Accelerating vaccine distribution in South Tangerang will help in the region's reactivation of development, planning, and regional economic recovery, as well as contributing to the central government's efforts to encourage national-scale economic recovery in areas previously devastated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
