Bandung, February 20, 2020 - Traveloka, Southeast Asia’s leading digital travel and lifestyle experiences booking platform, officially formed a strategic partnership with the West Java Provincial Government to digitize business travel arrangements as well as boosting tourism sector in West Java. The MoU was signed by Ridwan Kamil, the Governor of West Java, and Albert, Co-Founder, Traveloka on February 18, 2020, which took place at Gedung Pakuan, Bandung, West Java.

Traveloka’s partnership with West Java Provincial Government will enable the company to assist the government in several programs, which include business travel arrangements by utilizing Traveloka for Corporates (Corporate Travel), tickets with detailed information for tour packages in West Java, as well as other marketing initiatives to promote various tourist destinations in the area.
Welcoming the partnership with Traveloka for business travel arrangement using Traveloka for Corporates, Ridwan Kamil, the Governor of West Java, stated, “West Java Provincial Government is the first government institution that implements online business travel arrangements for the civil servants. Previously, each bureau manually arranged the business trip. We hope that by using the digitized business travels arrangement, the transaction process will be easier and transparent with clear accountability”. Ridwan Kamil also added, “The implementation of online business travel arrangements is also aligned with Jabar Digital Province mission, where all activities, including public services, should be done via online.
Albert, Co-Founder, Traveloka, is optimistic that the use of digital technology for this collaboration will bring positive impact, not only for the government, but also for business operators dan Traveloka users in West Java, which will boost the number of tourists visiting West Java. “We are proud to be one of the booking platforms that is trusted by the West Java Provincial Government in developing the tourism industry as one of the key sectors that plays an important role in economic growth. The West Java Provincial Government has declared its vision ‘Jawa Barat Juara Lahir Batin dengan Inovasi dan Kolaborasi’ (West Java Wins through Innovation and Collaboration) to synergize and realize the partnership with industry players in the technology sector, including to implement smart tourism. Entering 2020, the West Java Provincial Government is targeting 60 million tourists visiting the region by rolling out several initiatives, such as the revitalization of tourist destinations and infrastructure as well as the creation and development of new destinations.
