The uniforms worn by Air Astana's stewards and flight attendants look professional with gray suits. Air Astana flight attendants wear long pants. Meanwhile, the flight attendants wear knee-length skirts or trousers that have matching colors. On several occasions, the airline's stewards and flight attendants also wear gray vests with blue shirts.

To add to the neat and elegant impression, Air Astana flight attendants wear a dark blue tie with a stripe pattern. They also wear scarves in a combination of dark blue, white, and red. Infant Passenger Policy (0 - 2 Years)

Infants under the age of 24 months can share a seat with an adult aged 18 years and above with a 90% discounted fare.

Infants under the age of 24 months who are booked a seat will be given a discounted ticket price of 25 to 50%. Depending on the flight destination.

Child Passenger Policy

Children aged 2 to 14 years old are given a 50% discount on ticket prices for domestic flights.
Children aged 2 to 14 years old are given a 25% discount on ticket prices for international flights.

Pregnant Passenger Policy

Passengers with a gestational age of 22 weeks are allowed on flights without a doctor's certificate.

Passengers with a gestational age of more than 22 weeks are allowed on the flight if they carry a doctor's certificate.

Air Astana advises pregnant passengers to check-in as early as possible.

Disabled Passenger Policy

Passengers with mobility impairments are provided with wheelchairs.
If the special needs passenger brings his/her own wheelchair, Air Astana will include it in the checked baggage free of charge.

Air Astana History

Founded in late 2001, Air Astana made its inaugural flight on May 15, 2002. The inauguration of the airline was attended by President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Sir Richard Evans as the two shareholders as well as representing the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and BAE System PLC UK. The Government of Kazakhstan holds 51% of the shares through the Samruk-Kazyana National Welfare Fund and the rest is owned by BAE System PLC UK as a partner.

Air Astana successfully completed the EASA Third Country Operators certification renewal audit without any negative findings. Since its launch, Air Astana has successfully built its reputation and credibility as an airline with quality services, well-maintained new aircraft, and friendly flight crews.
