After maintaining its airline uniform model for 2 decades, British Airways introduced its new airline uniform model in 2023. The new uniforms were created by British fashion designer of Ghanaian descent, Ozwald Boateng. The British Airways steward and flight attendant uniforms are dominated by dark colors. For flight attendants, they are given the freedom to choose to wear skirts or trousers. The same goes for the flight attendant uniform. For flight attendants who wear hijab, British Airways also provides uniforms with tunic and hijab designs that give an elegant impression. Additional tie items for stewards and scarves for flight attendants also make British Airways uniforms more on point. This is because it features a wave pattern inspired by the air movement on an airplane wing.

Starting operations in 1974, British Airwyas had to face obstacles caused by soaring oil prices. This led to employees asking for a salary increase and going on strike on a large scale. However, the airline decided not to conduct mass layoffs. British Airways preferred to immediately implement a ticket intensification system while improving the quality of the fleet.
The system initiated by Roy Watts then succeeded in making the increase in the number of British Airways passengers increase very drastically. The original 16 million passengers then increased to 30 million people in 1986. Over time, British Airways continued to grow and gave birth to several subsidiaries in the aviation industry.
