Gulf Air's flight attendants and stewards wear uniforms in Bahrain's national theme colors, derived from its slogan, Land between Two Seas. Light and dark grays are the base colors with light blue chosen as an accent color that depicts Bahrain's cultural diversity combined with modern culture.
This can be seen in the various architectural styles in the country. The choice of a typical Middle Eastern hat, which is a hat with a veil, gives a unique, elegant impression, and is different from other airline flight crew uniforms. The combination of simple design and minimalist theme colors makes the crew uniform look charming when used to serve passengers.

One of the unique things about Gulf Air is that it was first founded not by a Bahraini, but a British pilot named Freddie Bosworth. He officially registered the airline under the name Gulf Aviation Limited Company or Gulf Aviation on March 24, 1950.
It took almost 30 years for the Government of Bahrain to gain partial ownership of the airline. Precisely on January 1, 1974, the Bahraini government managed to get a 25% ownership stake from Gulf Aviation which also changed its name to Gulf Air. Then, on May 5, 2007, the Government of Bahrain finally obtained full ownership rights over Gulf Air and made it the country's national airline.
