Southwest Airlines or Southwest is an American low-cost airline. Based in Dallas, Texas, it chose McCarran International Airport, Las Vegas, as its largest focus city. The airline is also considered the largest in the country based on the number of passengers per year carried domestically.
This factor also makes Southwest Airlines the top 10 most profitable airlines in the United States and the fourth largest fleet of any commercial airline in the world. Also, the US Department of Transportation's Bureau of Transportation Statistics reports Southeast as one of the most profitable airlines worldwide.
There are four flight classes offered by Southwest Airlines, including:

Based on the above flight class specifications, there are several special services that Southwest offers to passengers, including:
So far, Southwest Airlines only uses Boeing aircraft. With a total of 121 destinations, there are more than 700 fleets in use with the following details as of January 2022:
Boeing 737 MAX 8. Another latest fleet that replaces the Boeing 737-700 which has a maximum passenger capacity of 175 people.
Southwest Airlines has three main colors: black, blue, and red. White and yellow are occasionally seen on its fleet of aircraft. These colors are also used for the cabin and cockpit crew uniforms as an identity.
In the latest version of the uniform launched in 2017, Southwest flight attendants wear three outfits. Two with dark gray skirts and a light blue and dark blue shirt each. The other wears a red top with a gray skirt accented with red and blue.
As for the cockpit, the design is simpler, but classy. It can be seen from the white shirt, pants and blackish gray suit with a tie whose color is in harmony with the airline.
Southwest Airlines has the following baggage policy:
Oversize baggage. The airline charges a USD75 surcharge on passengers carrying bags with dimensions from 160 to 292 cm.
For the following categories of passengers, Southwest Airlines applies policies such as:
Disability. Southwest provides a page on its website to access assistance for passengers with disabilities. This includes the availability of wheelchairs, service dogs, and portable oxygen supplies.

Founded by Rollin King and Herbert Kelleher in 1966, Southwest Airlines faced problems in its early years. At the time there were at least three airlines trying to take legal action to prevent the company from cutting prices by flying in Texas alone to be exempt from the rules.
When the lawsuits were settled in 1970, a year later Southwest began operating regular flights between Dallas, Love Field, and Houston and between Love Field and San Antonio. In 1975, the airline expanded flights to a number of states in 1979. Additional flight services to the East and Southeast followed in the early 1990s
