Great Lake Hotel

Beautiful clean, comfortable room. James was a fantastic host, he we above and beyond to help us out after there was an issue with our booking. Highly recommended. Great atmosphere, cosy bar, lovely meals. 👌👍

Nice cosy little cabin accommodation with ensuite bathroom. Quiet room, reasonable sleep. Electric blankets were required to be used, but unfortunately one of the side (mine!) of the double electric blanket wasn't functioning. Normally we would have reported that to the proprietors but we were aware that the Hotel had closed for the night a few hours earlier and staff gone, so we put up with it. Overall a comfortable stay for 1 night.

All great, no major dramas.

Cabin with communal facilities worked well for us. Had a lovely meal that was just that bit different . Beds were supper soft and warm. Only negative were the pillows - too large to sleep comfortably with. I didn’t use them as more comfortable without.

They cancelled my booking but did not let me know Put us in a single room without my consent They overcharged me and did not meet with me to settle my account And so now I will have the American Express team investigate them and get my money back Disgusting group Never stay there !!!

The accommodation was a surprise for a hotel.Very clean spacious with great amenities.Parking was outside the entrance to accommodation.Lovely spot.

Parking was right outside the room and it was nice and warm on a very cold night.

I had booked Great Lake Hotel as an overnight stop between Strahan and Hobart. I made a mistake and booked Great Lake Hotel one night earlier than our actual arrival time. The staff and Great Lake Hotel were extremely accomodating to our situation (we were known as Room 7, since that is the room number we were supposed to have used on the previous night), and allowed us to stay in Room 3 with no extra charge. We had a good dinner at the restaurant while our room was prepared. After dinner, we had a nice conversation with the a person we assumed to be the owner. What could have been a disaster turned into a story with a happy ending. Room 3 was pleasant enough, with a nice view of the lake and a comfortable bed for a good night's sleep.
