We were allowed early check in on arrival - much appreciated. Room was well appointed and completely clean. The weather was in the high 30’s but the A/C was easily up to the task. Staff was very helpful. The included breakfast was outstanding. Highly recommended.

Clean, comfortable room and bathroom. Very quiet. Aircon fortunately could be operated to avoid being excessively cold. Room service food was average in my view, pre-cooked probably not microwaved hot enough upon serving (the curry).

Horrendous service. Lost almost $400 because my event was postponed. I asked the Stanford Hotel in advance if I could move my stay to a later date since the event was postponed. I even informed them if the rate was a little more, I would pay the extra fee. They refused, took my money that I had paid to stay there and offered nothing. The event was postponed to March so it’s not like I was asking for a refund. I’ve stayed at the Stanford in Melbourne before but now that this happened, I will never stay at any of their franchises ever again. It’s very disappointing the Adelaide Stanford did this to me. Taking someone’s money and refusing the offer any alternative is terrible. They have lost a customer for life.

Breakfast was great, staff friendly & courteous, however the Spa Suite Rooms I regularly stay in are starting to look a little tired & outdated now & in need of some TLC, such as renewing the tired & stained carpet in room & bathroom could do with an upgrade.
Spa Suite Rooms are spacious but oddly enough only contain a small flat screen TV set, so much so that the TV set looks out of place & like it was an afterthought.
I have stayed in numerous other Hotel rooms in Adelaide CBD that have smaller rooms but contain a larger TV screen than what the Stamford Plaza Spa Suite has.

Staff were kind upon arrival. Took bags from car. But had to use stairs two flights to get from car. Long lift waits. Pool area looks like a scene out of an 80’s horror movie. Good location for city stay but could use some upgrades that’s for sure. Beds were pretty old and uncomfortable. Room service maid had no understanding of English when asked to come back in 15 Musca I was naked at the door. Moved to another hotel Grand chancellor after 2 nights.
