Location and Amenities

Convenient location for Eurostar and access to centre but immediate area run down and walk ways hazardous due to construction. Room was very comfortable and quiet.

Noise from upstairs room. Luckily before 11pm and after 6am when I fell in sleep. Others were ok.

Good room and location.

Very nice clean and modern room. Staff were very friendly. On site spa was great. V close to the station and a fine walk to the city centre.

The room was fine so was the hotel and staff. However during my stay there were some road works just in front of hotel and made access to the hotel really difficult for everyone. Could have said that during the booking.

Everything you could want with a 5 minute walk from Eurostar Midi Station.

Slightly tired hotel - room smelled quite a bit of smoke. The staff were friendly and helpful though.

Yes it was easy

The hotel was lovely, a short 10minute walk from the midi station where the airport shuttle bus drops off. We also got picked up here daily for the F1 shuttle. We arrived around 11am they allowed us to check in early but unfortunately the room they gave us hadn’t been cleaned from the previous occupants. This wasn't a big issue as we were heading out into the city anyway. I mentioned it at the desk and when we returned the room was spotless. The hotel has a spa and gym that we didn't use as we had activities planned everyday. The area around the hotel is under construction and on a night time didn’t feel a safe area for a female to walk alone: there were big groups of adult males congregating in numerous areas around the hotel and around the train station. Overall it was a great hotel in a not so great area.

It was a great hotel conveniently located to the Brussels Midi train station, and still walkable to the touristy part of Brussels. My family really enjoyed staying there.

To anyone that reads this let's just say Don't stay in this part of town . Looks like 3rd World Country/other side of the tracks.We drove by the Hotel and did a quick U-turn and tried to cancel my reservation (they refused) . Doesn't look like a safe area with all the hood vermin and trash on the streets . It could have been a clean hotel but I'm never going to know and neither should you.

The hotel itself is wonderful. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was amazing. It was clean, comfortable, and modern. The bathroom was nice, but it's not very private (there's an opaque glass that separates it from the room, so people can see you in there). The area surrounding the hotel is under construction, so it feels a little sketchy, but is safe overall. Nonetheless, the hotel is very close to the Brussels Midi train station, which is a plus.

Arrived, before specified check in, the hotel kept our cases. When we went back to check in, on arrival in our room, the sofa bed was not made up for our son. This was not a good first impression and made us feel disappointed. This was sorted out quite quickly. Overall room and general hotel was clean and comfortable. Although not the best of areas especially due to roadworks, it suited us as needed yto be near the train station for the Eurostar.

Great hotel, some dated features in bathroom. Roadworks outside but not noticeable when in hotel. Friendly staff who enabled early checkin withoit additional charge. Good leisure facilities

The hotel was of a good quality as you would expect from a Mercure. It is on the older side, in terms of fixtures, but was very clean. The location is convenient for the train station, and you can walk into the heart of Brussels in about 25 minutes but, the area is like most train station locations, a bit grotty. The hotel is an oasis in amongst the mess, once you walk through the doors you can cast off the city streets.

Very close to the train station and Cantillon Brewery.

On-going road construction in front of the hotel. Surrounding area can be a little off when walking to wait for a ride/ or going back to the hotel. Problem is the surroundings, not the hotel. Grand place can be a 15 minutes walk if you are a fast walker. Just be cautious on your surroundings.
