We stayed here because we were attending a concert at Commonwealth Stadium. The beds were comfortable, newly renovated rooms, staff were welcoming and kind.

This is a perfectly fine bargain hotel. But you don’t have to pay much more in the same area for more. The rooms are fine. But it’s been a long time since I’ve stayed in a hotel of any price point without a mini fridge in the room let alone a microwave. Not having a fridge is tremendously inconvenient. Also, this property continues its practice of not providing daily housekeeping, except by special request. This began during Covid as a supposed safety issue and now continues as a “green” initiative. I would respect the company much more if it would just say it as it is. Housekeeping is limited to reduce costs. Period. As there is an expensive breakfast restaurant at the property, it is also one of the few at this level that does not provide complimentary breakfast. To sum up, perfectly fine if you are ok with not having the amenities listed above. However for just a few dollars more you can have these conveniences and stay in very similar properties near by.

Hotel was going through renovations and was overall dusty from this. Room was clean and looked like it was newly renovated. Shower didn’t have a single shelf, not sure where they expect you to put shampoo or anything else you might need to bring in. Staff was helpful during check in and out but not at other times. We came back into the hotel around 11pm and were told the elevator wasn’t working and we had to use the stairs. The staff was very unhelpful, we and a couple other groups of guests ended up going up and down the stairs for about 30 minutes, only ending up up in the parkade. We asked the gentleman at the desk multiple times where the stairs to the rooms were and just got a gesture in a general direction. We only got up to our room because the elevator started working so we were finally able to use it - still have no idea where these stairs to the rooms were.

We stayed here for the Post Malone concert, and while the location was convenient—it's close to the train, making it easy to get around -the hotel itself was pretty underwhelming and outdated. The room was clean, but it looks like they're in the middle of remodeling, and the updates feel very cheap. The bathroom had a new shower, but there wasn't anywhere to put shampoo, soap, or other toiletries, which was frustrating. There was also a large gap between the bottom of the room door and the floor, letting in hallway light and noise. The beds were clean but very squeaky, and the TV only had basic cable. Most hotels now have smart TVs where you can sign into Netflix or other streaming services, so this felt outdated. There were also essentially no amenities. The biggest disappointment was the price. Rates appeared to be increased to about three times the normal amount because of the Post Malone concert, which made the value even harder to justify. We brought our concerns to the front desk, but the staff seemed indifferent and didn't appear interested in addressing them, which only added to the disappointment. Overall, this is a very basic hotel. The rooms were clean and the train access is a definite plus, but the quality, service, and value didn't come close to justifying what we paid. Unfortunately, I won't be staying here again, and I wouldn't recommend it at the price we paid.

The rooms was cold, I even had to turn the heat on in the middle of July. There was a funny smell in the lobby, the door needed to be forced closed so the locks would work. The bedding was thin and old looking. There were not charging ports for phones. Most hotels these days no matter how old they are have upgraded to include some sort of lamp or charging ports by the bed. I only needed one night, but if I were to stay 2 or more nights I wouldn't recommend this place.
