Due to unexpected flight delay I wasn’t able to reach the hotel at the time I expected to. I was expected to arrive at 3am so decided that I could crash at friends place instead of hotel. I contacted the hotel however they made no exceptions or waivers and I was charged for the full night. I’ve had two past expériences where myself or my friend had to request cancellation on exception basis and those 3 star hotels have been very helpful and understanding. Wasn’t expecting this from Fairmont.

What is unique was the inability and complete lack of interest of management to address the simplest of issues, after repeatedly checking that our bags would be in our room before our arrival, our baggage still remained in the storage area , the room / key access app phone apps didn’t work, the room numbers / written on our elevator code keys sleeve didn’t exist , the elevators are a joke , what business would intentionally aggravate it’s customers with zero security , and an elevator dispatch system that defies logic. Sit back in the lobby seats to appreciate the aggravation of every guest , the ignorance and arrogance of the management is staggering, when we called the front desk from our suite to indicate our concerns regarding our access to our room the nice front desk receptionist explained no manager was available after repeated attempts, so an email was sent to management but no response was ever received ? The cleaning staff was very helpful, obviously overworked but still very eager to help . The refrigerator isn’t as advertised, it isn’t for the guests convenience but another scam to charge extra to it’s customers, if you want a refrigerator you need to purchase a second one , even thought you book a hotel room with a refrigerator , you actually enter into a guest scam. , oh you are already paying for a refrigerator but you want one for your guests, guess what we will bill you an additional charge for another refrigerator, hotel management are a very slimy group,
