Read many negative reviews and complaints but we found no issues. Room was clean, newly renovated. Checkin seemless. Friendly and helpful staff. Located right beside the Canada Life Centre for easy game access. Great pricepoint as well.

Nice room and love how Starbucks is in the lobby. Also love how close this hotel is the Canadian Life Centre (CLC). Also had the sky walk so you can walk between the hotel/concert venue without going outside and getting cold. Love this hotel for concerts at CLC!

The heating wasn't working, I asked for maintainace, they said they were sending someone and I waited for 3 hours. Finally they send someone the next day. The bath tub was dirty when I was arrived and overall the place is not in very good conditions.

The hotel is conveniently located, the rooms are renovated, and the customer service is excellent. However, if you’re like me, and enjoy watching TV or news in between sights, I would not recommend this hotel. The TVs do not work and I even moved rooms. Chose another hotel if you like to catch up on the day’s news or your favorite show.

Everything was good other than the very load noise coming from the construction on the roof. We stayed on the 28th floor and had to move to the 26th floor but could still hear it but not as bad. We were compensated by having our parking fees waived which was very nice of the staff. We would stay again.

I'll do this as pros and cons. Pros. If you are going to an event at Canada Life Centre or other things downtown, the location is great. Staff were friendly but I didn't really engage much with them. That's about it. Cons. Walls are paper thin. Do everything you can to avoid a room anywhere near the elevator. We were "upgraded" to a renovated room. Not sure what was renovated as the shower looked like it was from the 70's and the room was still quite small. The room was beside the elevator and it was like hearing a train. All night long. Then people get off the elevator, and I'll never understand why people talk so loud in hallways. But, you hear everyone. A desk phone in another room was ringing at one point and it was so loud and clear I thought it was in our room. The wind rattles the window all night and you can hear outside noise very easy. The hotel definitely gets away with what they charge because of location but I won't stay there again.

The same drunk and violent man on the elevator each time we used it was a problem. The room was surface clean, but had the smell of water damage. No definitive line for check in. the lobby was polluted with groups of people gathering around the front desk. This made check in quite a bit longer as it looked as though they were in line. I feel like the age of this hotel is showing, Its time they stop trying to update this property and perhaps consider a full demolition of the building or at minimum a complete gut and rebuild. Starbucks in the lobby was the only redeeming quality.

The warm wood decor in the room and the excellent view through reasonably clean windows, and the photos of Winnipeg were pleasant and relaxing. The buffet breakfast special was a good price and healthy choices were available. We were pleased with exceptional friendly courteous service in the restaurant and as well as at the front desk, We were sorry we could not use the bathtub as the tub stopper had been removed in both of our rooms.

I found the room warm, but was in a rush to get to an event so I didn't get a chance to ask the front desk about it. Even though I turned the temp down, when I returned after the event, it was still very warm. Everything else was great!! I enjoyed the upgrade!! The location was perfect!!
