The check in process was not up to snuff. I did all the online check in process, get to the hotel and still have to present my card for the deposit, what’s the sense of the checkin online to have to do it all again there. Then go for a check out, as for a copy of receipt, that she is holding in her hand, and she’s she can’t give it to me. I said a copy of the one in your hand. And she was like, you booked through Expedia to use it to get my receipt. The hotel itself is dated, and uses old cleaning equipment, poor maid doing the main carpet could not clean a piece of winter salt, vacuuming the same spot over and over. Also no where on the description of the hotel does it say there is no elevator. Getting a family room on second level, carrying the luggage up, not great. And no family rooms on main floor. When they know guests are coming, they didn’t double check the room and make sure the heat is on. Got to the room and temps were set to like 15 degrees, with minus 18 outside. Curtains open and drafts coming in the windows. Took hours to get up to 19 degrees and make it warm enough to sleep. Didn’t try breakfast as it’s not included, didn’t get to the pool but looked nice enough. The family room, despite being cold, was huge. 2 large rooms, one for sleeping and 1 living area. Nice to relax in, wish there was an extra chair to sit on with the couch, but there was a table and chairs that could be used. Would not recommend to go there again. Pay more for a better hotel.

Pool was nice and warm, room service fast and nice quiet evening for sleep.

Staff is good and on point. Laundry is 24hrs and easy to use

Room was fine and clean, nothing over the top and you do get what you pay for. Disappointed with policy around board room use. We were there for a ringette tournament and willing to to pay all fees and leave full deposits for use of rooms (and would have booked 2 nights worth of board rooms) but are not allowed to bring outside food or drink. Would have to purchase from hotel. For a limited selection of food that is not what we would have chosen plus cost of rental of room came out to almost $50 a person ($13 for a pitcher of pop). That is a little high for some families for food selection that they would have to settle for. Our girls are older and very respectful but I guess management would rather patrons to eat out and then just have people hang out in common areas and lobby. We found out that hotel was at capacity and yet only 2 out of 9 rooms were booked for the weekend.

I felt very rushed by the front desk staff upon arrival. We were walking through the lobby, having a conversation between ourselves when the front desk worker said “are you checking in?” Not even a hello or waiting until we were at the counter. I was caught off guard by this and then the worker seemed annoyed when it took me an extra minute to get my id and credit card out of my bag and ready. We were also very disappointed to be told there would be no breakfast service the next morning due to a holiday. Unfortunately with breakfast being listed on the online reservation we assumed it would be included.

Always clean..our babies love the pool..we love the food and service in the restaurant I recommend the steak. Thank you for an amazing family getaway and celebration of NYE

It is an old place, the bedding was poor, just a blanket and sheet. The photos make it look like there is a gym facility available, after inquiring I found it was across the 4 lane road, in the rain! No thanks! A bit disappointing.

The room was good once we closed the windows and turned the heat on. Was freezing in there at first. The water pressure was absolutely terrible for our showers. Couldn’t even get the soap out of my hair. Disappointing as we stay up in London every three weeks for cancer treatment. And have stayed there the last two times.

The staff was great. Let us check in 2 hours early without being charged extra. Rooms were clean. Pool was wonderful. Would definitely stay again

staff is lovely, the facility is aging but passable. no elevator, long corridors, if you have mobility issues choose your room carefully. no soundproofing between rooms.

Easy check in, comfortable beds, clean, big deep pool, although the pool room is chilly. The pool was warm.

The ironing board was in poor condition, had to go to front desk for stuff because of holiday, but also on boxing day

Nice convenient location. Nice to have extra blanket in drawer for the chilly night.

The room was FREEZING upon our arrival! The thermostat was set to 42°F, and the room was down to 60°F! I can appreciate saving electricity by lowering the temperatures in unoccupied rooms, but our reservation was bokked far im advanced, and our room was assigned in advance as well. There is no reason the temperature couldnt have been raised in anticipation for our arrival. The blankets on the beds are very thin, so we were concerned if the room would warm up in time for us to sleep. Very disappointing.
