Everything was perfect

Unipark is in a great location and getting the room with breakfast buffet is always nice. A bit disappointing to find they did not have the small buffet at night that i had seen a week earlier. The room was nice, water super hot. Water available. I noticed a bit too late complementary coffee is in the lobby, but an in room option would be nice. There is a fridge, always useful. Not a smart tv so options to watch are limited since i like to go to youtube when not home. I have noticed this at two places in the same area so maybe just nit that important.

Fatima at the front desk was excellent in all the informal she gave us not only about the property but about the hotel program.

From the moment we arrived, I knew it would be bad! There is no curbside parking. The taxi stopped and unloaded our luggage in the middle of the street. The street is filthy with trash. To check-in, go past the front lobby and up to the 2nd floor to another lobby. Next, you’ll walk with all your luggage, past a bunch of shops IN the mall, thru some doors to an elevator, and then another hallway before getting to the room. Room #857 had an ammonia smell which, IMO, is used to mask filth, rather than properly clean. This was confirmed by the mold in the shower. Their hotel brand shampoo, conditioner, & body wash are all the same thing. They add water to the shampoo and label it “conditioner”. You get 2 body towels and 1 floor towel for 2 guests. You’ll have to ask if you want more. The porter gave us the wrong card key so we were locked out of our room. He brought us the right key during our ridiculously long stay in the restaurant. The safe didn’t work so we had to wait for maintenance to come fix it. The fridge is the smallest on the market. There was no view accept the tops and sides of other moldy buildings. The hotel restaurant staff didn’t speak English, service was slow (1.5 hrs for soup), and the food is not good. The free breakfast comes from here. I chose this place for the advertised spa, but they don’t have an on-sight spa and no spa services on the weekends! GO, RUN 1-1/2 blocks down the street to The Grand Hotel. They are EVERYTHING this place is not!

I stayed at this hotel every time that I come back to Ecuador attention is excellent food fantastic traditional Ecuadorian food, special mention to the captain Darwin and his staff, always prestos to help and satisfy your needs,

Good recommendation

We were on our way to Galapagos and arrived the afternoon before our flight. We didn’t have time to enjoy the hotel facilities. The bed and bedding are top notch- very comfortable. Best yet from all our travels. Staff were very accommodating. We appreciated the free shuttle to the airport.

Bare, institutional, uncomfortable.

Excellent treatment from Front Desk staff! specially Mr. Ariel, Ms.Karem and Ms. Echeverria. Everyone there knows what it is hospitality and they made every effort to make you feel secure, confortable and safe.

Customer service of a 5 star hotel , the only issue is that . The hotel is a bit old and some of the rooms area a bit outdated but clean, good price compared to hotels near by .
