Staff: Welcoming, friendly, helpful, efficient and willing to go the extra mile. Executive Rooms 367 & 369: spotlessly clean and comfortable - good bed and choice of pillows but room a bit faded and dated - needs a bigger TV as distance from bed is too far for comfortable viewing. Lift out of action - not helpful - Best Western need to sort this pronto Spa & Pool: closed for refurb - needs sorting. Breakfast and Bar meals....good.

Overall great stay. Very warm welcome. Really polite staff. Room was very spacious and clean. Self service breakfast was good with plenty of options. Bar area was good. Although there was a wedding on and I felt I didn't want to intrude. Next door there is a huge garden centre. And a hickory's restaurant. We Would Recomend.

The staff here are great and are the redeeming feature of this hotel. I travel a lot, and the room here was in the top 3 of worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Super old, and not maintained well at all. Feels like the room they keep back for people who don’t book directly. The window was completely full of webs - reaching to open the window my hand went right through a web, and the sides were covered. I have photos. The floors were dirty, thick layers of dust over every piece of furniture. Very impractical also - the wall where the bed is has no power - and therefore no lights. Bathroom is incredibly mouldy and dark.

We only dealt with the receptionist and she was very polite and helpful. The hotel however was very dated. The rooms need completely modernising. There were big cobwebs. Extremely rusty plug hole on the sink. The lampshades on the wall lights were all wonky. We even laughed because we thought we were being pranked and they'd been put like that on purpose. Beds were clean and comfortable though. All in all it just needs modernising and the cleaners need to be more conscientious.

The shower control was basically the easiest to use but it might be beneficial to have a notice above it stating: "Water pressure is constant so the knob is to just alter the temperature"
