Good small motel style hotel with friendly staff. Rooms normal, service good. Continental breakfast is limited but basics are there. Economical and good position for Boxmoor

Staff extremely convivial. Being partially immobile I required additional help, which was gladly given by all staff.

Booked late, always been thought of as a nice place down to a wedding reception a few years ago. On arrival the parking and grounds are well maintained. There is temporary metal fencing cordening off a part near reception, the exterior is showing wear and tear a few missing roof tiles probably not helped with moss. Our room looked very dated, although the bathroom more modern. Furniture was old and tired but useable Beds comfy, plenty of tea n coffee. The inside of the front door looked like the wet weather had got into it. A few water marks on ceiling if bathroom. And cobwebs in the main room. In my opinion the £88 was a little high for what we got. It just needs a little tlc, it's the small improvements that will bring it back to former glories

Excellent location , ticking all the boxes for what we needed : very close to train station , excellent walking and running routes along the canal and sufficient pubs/restaurants close by to suit our needs. All the local people we met were very friendly and helpful. Thank you Hemel Hempstead for a fabulous weekend

Basic, good value accommodation. You might have to wait a while as check in is not manned. Not so much fun in the winter.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The veggie breakfast was really good, compliments to the chef. It is such a shame the restaurant and bar have stopped serving. Many thank to all at the hotel

Room was well furnished ,clean and comfortable . Staff very friendly and efficient .Continental and cooked breakfast both very good . Building works beyond the car park did not disturb or affect our stay in any way. Would be happy to return .

The one staff member we say who booked us in was lovely. The room was clean and tidy. Only bad thing I can say was that the bed wasn’t the most comfortable

Other than the check in, as the door bell didn’t work and we didn’t have a UK sim, it was a great stay. Very clean, very nice room, good breakfast. Highly recommend.

Easy check in and Room 15 allocated . Bigger than normal but there was no WiFi coverage there. One of the hotel entrances is shut off so entry and exit is straight into the junction with London Rosd - needs care. Otherwise all was well as usual

Very efficient and welcoming as we arrived later in the evening Breakfast choices very good both for cooked breakfast at the weekend and continental for the week days Would definitely stay there again

A cosy room with amazing underfloor heating in the bathroom! I could have stayed in there all night!

Incredibly clean, comfortable, and nice. Our room was very (!) spacious and a small issue that we had was immediately resolved. Very nice staff and location. The website does not do it justice.

It was weird to have to phone on arrival to get the room key. The room was pleasant enough and clean but was tired and could do with updating. The breakfast was amazing and the staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for you.

A lovely, quirky little place to stay. Clean an tidy rooms, nice continental breakfast included. Good value, would stay again.
