Best hotel breakfast we have had in a long time and we travel to a lot of hotels throughout the year.

Clean room. Excellent room service

Room spacious, very comfy beds. Opening window and radiator was ideal as due to having asthma, air con can make my condition worse so was glad to have options. Breakfast was an excellent selection. Staff attentive, happy to help, but left you be to relax and be a guest not a customer which so few hotels now do. Very pleased, will stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.

The rooms are very dated and tired. It did not live up to it's 4* reputation. Additionally the breakfast buffet was poorly managed, understaffed,

We always stay at the Crowne Plaza in Chester but have sadly noticed facilities have reduced and the rooms are a bit tired. On this particular occasion there was an unbelievable amount of door slamming so we did not get a goods night sleep in 2 nights. Staff are always helpful and polite.

The room was very nice and clean, although we couldn't get the shower to work this morning (no instructions). Unfortunately we didn't get to use any of the amenities there so can't comment on those, but a nice hotel and not too far from the city centre and all the shops and bars etc. I rate our star 6 bananas 🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌

Staff at reception weren’t exactly welcoming. Checkin took longer than average considering it had all been pre-paid. Room was tired looking. Shared spaces have had investment.

Checking in was straightforward and welcoming, receptionists were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean, fresh and airy. Great facilities and the food was excellent.

The best breakfast we’ve ever had in a hotel. The facilities were excellent. The communal areas had lovely artwork, sculptures and decoration. The restaurant was excellent too. We loved the local and how easy it was to walk into Chester - so we didn’t need to get in the car quite so often, which made the holiday more relaxing. The rooftop car parking was easily accessible from the hotel too. The room was comfortably big enough for 4 people and we liked the large 55inch TV. Our only note - in our room - 307 - some of the wallpaper was peeling and the paint was a bit tired.

Tired room

Exceptional staff. Every person i spoke to was helpful and very friendly. Building was a bit tired so some areas of cracked tile and mold staining in the pool area. Room smelt of wet dog and there were clothes moths.

Only problem we had was checking in 3 times as room not ready at 3 or 4 pm so ended up going for food and finely checked in at 6pm . However they did give us a voucher for a free drink at the bar. Apparently they had a shortage of staff over the Easter weekend…

Booked a double room for 2 nights with pull out bed for my son - his bed wasn’t made up when we arrived - check in staff were rude and disinterested. Walls very thin, reception areas and restaurant nice, first floor, our room and pool area and changing rooms shabby and in desperate need of a deep clean, lick of paint / update. Service slow and ineffectual on several occasions. Several time staff just weren’t there. Surprise £34 charge to park the car in the hotel’s own carpark for two nights (wasn’t outlined on the booking site or confirmation) All in all an overpriced, 2.5 star-ish experience. Bizarre for a crowne plaza / IHG hotel where I’ve usually had decent experiences.

Breakfast wasn’t very hot: eggs/beans/ mushrooms/ sausages: black pudding was dry. Toast maker only good one side.

Everything was fine, except there was no heating in the room on a cold night. Dinner was great and so was breakfast. Staff very friendly and professional.

Lovely hotel-needs abit of an update in the rooms.On arrival was greeted by a lovely lady on reception.Used leisure favilities again could do with an update.The older man on the leisure reception was rude.
