Holiday Inn NEWCASTLE - GOSFORTH PARK by IHG, an IHG Hotel

Unfortunately there was a wedding or something similar taking place… The music at the function was billowing throughout the hotel (the base) we were one of several complaints and whilst the manager asked the DJ to turn the music down it made little difference. We ended up cancelling our planed dinner and retreated to our room with a pizza not the planned evening we had… very disappointed

Great staff who made us feel really welcome. Really nice showers in the room we had and was great value. We paid for the executive room and beds were really comfortable.

Brilliant stay, staff were amazing from check in, they were busy at the restaurant but did fantastic, meal was so so good, the chefs pizza and the Thai mussels were out of this world, the pool, the stairs etc were spotless, couldn't fault a thing, great sleep in a super king bed, and a silent room, all 4 slept like logs

Stopover on our way south. Arrived 02.00 tired after drive down from the AC/DC concert in Edinburgh. Probably the shortest stay we’ve ever had in a hotel. Have stayed here before. Easy location just off A1. Very clean room and friendly staff at breakfast.

We loved our bed and view from our bed over the green space. I had pocahed eggs and vegetarian sausages made to order which was a good start to the day.

Staff was very helpful. Very good area away from traffic

Everything was awesome. Just towels were dirty, from swimming area.

The facilities were good and the swimming pool and hot tub were relaxing. And I enjoyed the Friday evening entertainment

Good location for our needs. Electric charging points were available and most seemed to be working from what I could see - easy to set-up and use too. Rooms were a good size and the bathroom amenities were very good (shower-gel/shampoo/etc.). Breakfast was good value. Decent pint of Guinness served at the bar (I was only having one but treated myself to a second before bed!).

We only had a short stay after flying back into the country in the early hours but the location was fantastic for the airport, the rooms were very clean and it was a wonderful quiet spot. The real mark of excellence though was the brilliant and friendly staff. They were just genuinely great, friendly people and it made all the difference. The complimentary drinks when we were leaving was just the icing on the cake and a lift for a very tired family facing a six hour drive home. Thank you so much for the amazing service, I would happily recommend to anyone.

Staff were always helpful and friendly. Breakfast was fabulous and good start to day. Unfortunately we didn’t have a meal at night as we had other plans.

An excellent hotel. Our visit was marred by some other guests in an adjoining room who were noisy and disruptive and one who was obviously very drunk. However following a complaint to the reception the hotel sorted out the problem quickly, effectively and satisfactorily. They are also refunding some of our charges.

Friendly staff and good breakfast. The room and pool could do with some renovations but were fine for one night stay.

The staff make the hotel, they're super attentive and very friendly.

A lot of the ceiling panels on the first floor corridor were eared and water-stained, didn’t look good.

The staff were very good. Room was big and clean and tidy. Breakfast was quite busy but food refreshed constantly. Restaurant didn’t open until 6pm but food available in bar area.
