Holiday Inn SOUTHAMPTON

The hotel was lovely! The staff were nice and accommodating. The bed was fantastic. The only thing that annoyed me was having to pay £20 parking when there were plenty of spaces out the back. I was one of three cars parked all night and the car park itself could hold about 20 cars. Other than that.. cracking hotel!

Lovely clean modern room with big comfy bed and tv. Very quiet and the view of the docks was lovely. Excellent staff throughout our stay. Great value for money. Parking on site was a real plus for us.

Amazing room which was upgraded for my husband's birthday, a lovely touch with a birthday card and fudge. Jose was our reception staff and he was so welcoming and friendly. The bar staff were equally as friendly. An all together brilliant experience and atmosphere. We will be back! :)

Absolutely amazing staff throughout, welcoming and couldn't do enough. Food was delicious in the evening but the choice wasn't great and although delicious the price was way too steep for what you get and the steak was ruined as it was way too fatty and inedible in places. The hotel throughout was really lovely, decorated to a high standard and sets a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Rooms in general ok but were a bit of a letdown as not as clean as we'd expect for the money paid. Seals around shower doors are discoloured with lots of scale. There was some sort of dried in bodily fluid on the bed base and the general cleaning wasn't great with dust in places and muck in the bedside draws.

Nice room, friendly staff.

Had an early arrival spotless room overlooking Fred Olsen's Balmoral. Walked right on through the gate right to the ship. Staff was great and we had excellent Fish Pie and Monkfish Scampi as well as two night's complimentary breakfasts. Would come again often and days early before a cruise!

Very friendly welcome, clean and comfortable room and lovely breakfast

First impressions are vital with new customers like we were. Jose welcomed us at reception and was absolutely amazing. Not only did we get to check in early but he also gave us a room upgrade after we signed up to be a member. All of the staff were amazing the room was perfect and we also had food and cocktails in Atlantic gate which was also faultless.

Great change - we hadn’t appreciated the move straight away from the old Holiday Inn as we had booked for convenience. Initially we were concerned as we waited in line as the check in was taking time. It became very clear and apparent why when it was our turn. You are treated from the start like the only customer in the room by José a fantastic FOH gentlemen who oozes real true down to earth customer care - as if it was his own hotel. Checking what you have booked and then allocating that as best he can to fit the hotels best room. We were only one night. “Tonight, we have space it’s unusually quite. Would you like a view of the city?”, “Yes please” is out reply, “Let see how high we can go to give you the best view”. It made all the difference. We booked in for Breakfast which we hadn’t originally done, this was relaxed and exceptional quality with a very varied selection. We got back earlier than planned from our night to take night class from a closed off bar but nothing was too much trouble to take to our room. The room that was spacious l, clean and well maintained. A booking of convenience was converted to a booking of choice for the future. This is highly recommended. Thankyou for the complimentary parking that was an unexpected added bonus.

Great room, massive comfy bed!

The bar was well stocked. We had lunch which was absolutely lovely. A very comfortable room and bed. The hot breakfast was overcooked and not very nice. We would stay again but maybe have the continental breakfast.

Staff were friendly and very helpful. There is onsite parking available & a really nice restaurant within the hotel. Rooms were clean and very nice. The amenities were good and the hotel was located in a decent location. The value for money was excellent also.

Everything. Cleanliness, staff, food. Very enjoyable stay.
