Lovely full English breakfast plus cereals, toast, fruit and yogurts if you want. The food was good quality and tasty both at breakfast and our meal in the bar the previous evening. The room was clean, the shower was hot and quite powerful, the beds were comfortable. Plenty of parking too. Would definitely look to stay here again if in the area

Great location and rooms are at the rear with views and minimal traffic noise. Ideal for travelling to tourist hotspots. Breakfast and dinner were very good. Fast service and hot delicious food. Housekeeping was lacking and overall maintenance could be improved.

Stayed here as an unplanned stop mostly because of price and availability, so my expectations weren’t high. However I was pleasantly impressed by the whole place. The room faces an uninterrupted view of fields, was clean and warm. It had a properly sized bath and everything was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good as was the Wi-Fi. I had to stay in the bar and wait for my vehicle to be recovered which was also comfortable and calming.

Staff were friendly and welcoming, couldn't do enough for you. Plenty to choose from off the Menu. Food was served very hot and timely and delicious. Room was clean with tea coffee and biscuits. Was concerned when we saw it was attached to a truck stop but shouldn't have been. Couldn't hear the road and with far reaching views from each room at the rear of the building towards the sea it was a very pleasant stay. Would definitely return

Breakfast was very good. Staff throughout stay were polite helpful and pleasant. Evening meal offered good selection. Looked like the room bathroom had been refurbished. One critisism that both myself and wife are 81 yr old pensioner and the provision of the shower in the bath with no hand rails fitted meant we could not climb into the bath to shower!! Hotels need to provide walk in showers instead of baths ???

From the moment we arrived the staff were really attentive and friendly. We felt very welcome and amongst friends. The room was clean and comfortable with a fabulous view of the surrounding countryside. The breakfast was cooked to order and they brought exactly what was ordered too. A good selection to choose from. We did eat in the restaurant the first evening and the food, wine and service was excellent. We spoke with some of the guests who were regular visitors and we could see why. A thoroughly enjoyable break in a fabulous hotel.

Excellent location for several local attractions with views to Bamburgh Castle and the North Sea. Seemed to be mostly used as an overnight stop on the A1, but absolutely suited our 4-night stop. Every meal fresh cooked - no 'buffet breakfast' under hot lamps. Attemtive and knowledgeable staff.

Location - the front faces the A1 but the rooms all look out on open countryside to the back. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good. 24-hour café (and nearby garage) were very handy. Quiet inside hotel. It would have been nice to have a safe and a fridge but, overall, no complaints. Good VFM.
