Couvent du Franciscain

It was run down, black mold on the walls, single elevator, no view ( apartments straight across the alley way), and the area was dead. There were hardly any amenities. The parking was a hassle and although behind the building it required an elaborate map of one way streets to access. I would not recommend.

This hotel is nicely located just on the other side of the river from the cathedral area. It is quiet. It is in a former convent so some rooms like ours are very small. The breakfast is very good

Location was excellent with good dining options. Breakfast at hotel was plentiful. The room we had was small but ok for 2 nights. The staff were wonderful. We wanted to watch the British and Irish Lions test match on our laptop and they went out of their way to cast it onto their main tv for us. With their lovely lounge area we felt as though we were at home watching it. Make sure to book parking ahead of your stay.

Great location near city center but not right in the mix

A nice. Charming out of the way but right there by everything place. Modern and comfortable.

The property has a nice location and nice rooms. Parking has to be arranged beforehand because they have limited spaces, so plan ahead. We didnt, which was almost a problem, but the staff gave us some great advice on how to manage our situation.

There is a nice lounge area on the main floor. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was very good. We enjoyed our time here.

It was tucked away off a main street, but centrally located from the train station and other places. The room was small but comfortable. The shower and bathroom was fantastic. The a/c was hard to figure out, but it won't work if you have the windows open. The desk staff were very nice.

Comfortable, clean room, not very big but adequate .Suited us for 2 nights. Minutes walk from the centre. Covered car park behind the hotel but a short drive around to it. Very pleasant staff. Nice lounge area. Did not have breakfast so can't comment on that. Good value. Strasbourg is a great place to visit

Great property. Staff friendly and great location

Mein Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel war leider nicht ganz so angenehm, wie ich es mir erhofft hatte. Positiv hervorheben möchte ich jedoch das Personal – alle Mitarbeitenden waren äußerst freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend, was ich sehr geschätzt habe. Leider gab es einige Mängel im Zimmer, die den Komfort stark beeinträchtigt haben. Die Sauberkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig: Es gab Flecken auf dem Kissen (braun), der Bettdecke (rosa) und sogar auf einem Handtuch (blauer Fleck). Auch die Wände waren sichtbar verschmutzt, und an mehreren Stellen blätterte die Farbe ab. Die Ausstattung hatte ebenfalls einige Schwächen. Die Klimaanlage bzw. Heizung war sehr laut, sodass ruhiger Schlaf schwierig war. Der Föhn fiel alle 10 Sekunden aus, was das Haare trocknen zur Geduldsprobe machte. Zudem gab es kaum Stauraum für Gepäck oder Kleidung, und der Rollladen ließ sich nicht schließen, was besonders störend war, da das Hotel sehr hellhörig ist. Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt nicht optimal, und ich würde mir wünschen, dass das Hotel mehr Wert auf Sauberkeit und Instandhaltung legt. Mit ein paar Verbesserungen könnte es deutlich angenehmer werden – das tolle Personal hätte es auf jeden Fall verdient!

The room (#35) was ridiculously small so much so that you had to practically climb over the bed to get to the other side. It should have been a single occupancy with a single bed, definitely not a double. We had no hand soap or body soap. We could have called the front desk, but you would think those items would be checked between patrons. I would not book a room there again, especially for the price!

The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The rooms are incredibly small and the bathroom is even smaller.

This is a hotel in an old convent and it shows. The rooms a tiny like a nun’s chamber. The walls are thin so you can hear the neighbors praying LOL. The location is away from the hub bub of the city but you can hear the street.

Hotel had a great location to get to the Christmas Market. Pre-arrangement for parking was the only set back, but that would have nearly impossible get due to the Christmas Market happening, reservation would have to have been made well in advance. The parking platz recommended by hotel was just down the street, very convenient and close by. Check-in was a breeze and the room, although small, it was comfortable for an overnighter.

Good for a stop over. Close to the centre, secure parking and friendly, helpful staff. Clean and comfortable so good value for money.

It’s a great location for being close to the city centre, without being too close. It’s walkable, has secure parking nearby and the rooms are satisfactory for a few nights.

Great location. Easy walk to restaurants, shopping.
