Hotel Viator is just a 4 min walk from Gare de Lyon and multiple metro and RER lines. That’s why we chose it.
Turns out the rooms are also very nice, the service was friendly and the hotel is super cute.

Property was in a very good location close to Metro line and cafes/restaurants.
We did have an issue with a faint damp smell in the room & no fan in the bathroom which caused condensation. It was also quite noisy.

Convenient for Gare de Lyon. Property has once been nice but is really now run down. Kind of place you wish you had flip flops on rather than bare feet in your room! Staff welcome is no frills. Sml amt of touting for business on street but unless you were clued up it wouldn’t be noticeable.
My only stay in Paris where I told my daughter we wouldn’t be returning after dark!

We had a reservation for two rooms and the first room was wonderful, especially the balcony. The second room was clean and spacious but the air conditioner did not work at all which is unacceptable for a $250 a night in August hotel room. The staff provided a fan but that was insufficient. They claimed that no other room was available which if true was very disappointing.
