Black Sand Suites was the perfect home base for our time in Vík. The cozy cottages sit right along the coastline, offering gorgeous views and unforgettable sunsets. Our space fit our group perfectly, and “the barn” was such a charming little spot to unwind after long days of sightseeing. It felt peaceful, comfortable, and incredibly convenient. Highly recommend — you really can’t beat this option in the Vík area.

Ocean view was beautiful and northern lights were visible from property being away from city lights. I had to stay an extra night due to road closure and reception did an excellent job taking notes on peoples needs. They delivered extra towels despite 71mpg gusts and provided extra coffee. A very comfortable spot if you need a break from eating out and would like to cook for yourself during your trip too. The only concern was the controlled temperature so I needed to use both blankets from the two beds to keep warm.

The room and facilities were excellent, views were amazing, although location was very windy and cloudy when we stayed, so the views were often obscured by low cloud. That said really appriciated the views when cloud lifted and the accommodation was fantastic, excellent location for exploring Vik and the south coast.

We stayed in one of the Superior Studios. It was on the top floor (2nd) an had a nice view out over the water. The inside was very nice, all very clean and well-provisioned. Lovely rain shower. One of the nicer places we've stayed in Iceland. We would definitely stay again
