Black Beach Suites

Beautiful property. Very clean. Easy check in and out. Easy access off the main road and into town. The heat could not be controlled. Our room was always very warm. The heating unit in the room was not operable, and the staff said that was because the rooms were heated with central heat. The room was so warm that we had to open the windows to be comfortable. We also wore the one and only pair of shorts we brought as a just in case it got warm in Iceland in April because the room was so warm. Overall, the room was way too warm to be comfortable and I don’t think it’s fair to pay for a hotel room and not have control of the heat. Also, they provide bath towels and hand towels but no washcloths to actually bathe with. Maybe that is the norm in Iceland? The rooms did not have easy to see numbers on the outside doors. In the parking area so we could not see the numbers to find our room.

It was an ideal base camp for our expedition of the mid-southern part of Iceland. The property was in perfect condition, well managed, and had generous amenities. It is located next to major attractions (e.g., Dyrtholaey). I strongly recommend it!

Property is beautiful and clean.

We traveled a few days in Iceland and stayed at multiple places. This was our favorite! Well worth the higher price for the view, extra space and kitchenette, heated floors, king bed, and even a gorgeous bathroom. Loved the backlighting on the mirrors! So convenient to Vik and the ring road. We would love to stay here again if we make it back to Iceland.

Luxurious stay with premium amenities. Nice to be able to prepare food in the suite and enjoy the beautiful view from the huge front windows. Such a lovely, restful, quiet spot.

The view was incredible. The hotel was modern and gorgeous. So much space for our family. We just stared out the large windows. We made coffee and stood out on the balcony to take in the beautiful black and beach. The hotel was close to great restaurants and iconic sites. We wish we could have stayed longer. Vik is a cute town.

Beautifully designed property with a gorgeous view. Check in and out was easy, ample parking and my family loved The Barn with their bar with snacks, drinks and games so we had an on site evening activity we could all enjoy. Would absolutely stay again and recommend to anyone.

Black beach suites has everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Vik. Easy access to black sand beach and Dryholaey which both have stunning views. Easy 10 mins into Vik, don’t miss the lava show and black crust pizzeria. We would highly recommend the black beach suites for anyone!

Clean, quiet with a beautiful view.

Absolutely loved this location. Beautiful views from our patio and saw the northern lights! Quick drive to town for gas groceries or food. The apartment was big and beautiful. Beds were very cozy. We loved our stay.

The room was nice and clean and had a good shower. The view out back to the beach was nice. There were not a lot of dining options on the property but Vik was a short (~10 minute) drive so we went there for most of our meals. We went in the spring (early April) and the room was always warmer than I would have liked. We had the thermostat turned all the way down and even opened the windows but the temperature never got below 25C (77F). The tile floors were heated (which is nice getting of the shower) but that kept the room warm all the time.

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Exterior and interior very aesthetically pleasing. Great location and view towards the sea. Room was large and very clean. There is no oven - we didn’t spot this in the description and had got a pizza to cook! Tea and coffee selection was very welcomed. Later than usual check out meant we could have a relaxed get up and go. Would recommend.

Loved this stay. The suite was perfect and we were able to cook dinner and enjoy the amazing views of black sand beach from the room. Beds were comfortable and room was super quiet.

I didn’t have any VIP amenities. Nothing was offered there

Very nice and quiet location, nice place to see northern lights in winter and beautiful ocean view through the balcony, well equipped

The view was amazing, the residence accommodations were above average. Our heat did not work , but they gave us a space heater. The restaurant was very expensive for fried foods. We did enjoy our stay and would recommend
