Loved this hotel with one exception. There was a strong mold/mildew smell in room 102. I apparently was very allergic to this and got a sinus headache and congestion any time the door was closed. We slept with the door partially open and left the bathroom fan running and that helped. Otherwise the place is amazing. A jungle paradise! Beautiful swimming pool, great location. And the breakfast dragon fruit banana smoothie bowl is to die for! The staff are super friendly Great value for the money. Will be a 10/10 if they replace the mattress if that's where the mold is? It's extremely humid there so it's understandable mold might be an issue. But the mattress needs to be replaced. It also was bowed down on both sides. Obviously not a newer mattress. They place is recently under new ownership, so hopefully they can do upgrades soon. I would still stay there again if I go to Bali again.

Customer service is great. Staff are nice! Hotel looks nothing like picture. Needs serious renovation, its old and rundown. Linens/towels stink very bad. Television and phone didn't work. When requested or needing assistance you need to go up many stairs to get to reception. No elevator, not recommended for individual with physical restraints. Couldnt find hotel, sign waa not visible, especially for tour guides.

Amazing staff members and beautiful place x

We enjoyed our stay but the property is a little dated. Our shower door handle was coming off and the towels were clean but well used. Also the pool water was a bit green. But the ambiance was nice, as once you go through the lobby you feel like you are in the jungle, yet you can walk to the monkey forest and the water palace and a lot of great restaurants.

Great place. Wonderful location. All of the staff was wonderful. The breakfast was delicious.

The service in the hotel was excellent and the breakfast was superb. The view at breakfast was the best part. However, the bed was very hard and the room was full of ants. Luckily, I was only there one night.

Overall a very nice hotel. Clean, and the staff was very friendly. The pool was lovely. It was a short walk (~7 minutes) to the main city center. My only complaint was the WiFi didn’t reach our room, however it was accessible in the lobby.

The rooms were very clean and beautiful. But the surrounding and the pool is what captivates you.

It was like built into a hill which gave it a unique vibe.

Our arrival was really complicated. At the airport there were 2 different drivers waiting for us with our name and the hotel´s name. Long story short, we were told we were lucky to have chosen the "legal" driver because the other one was a "hacker driver" - Now, I don´t know what this is supposed to mean but they should really take care of their customers. The arrival was stressful and the hotel did not offer to compensate in any ways. I kept asking to talk to "Dewa" but now I´m doubting this person even exists. I was texting with Dewa all the time and when I met people at the front desk they all told me they were the ones writing the messages and signing "Dewa", their english in the text messages was great and then in person they could barely communicate. I don´t want to be "Lucky" to choose the legal driver, I want the hotel to make sure I´m safe on my arrival to a foreign country. I only recommend this hotel because of the location and the breakfast area. Our room had a sliding door which barely locked from the inside and I could see the light coming from the hallway and noises from the outside. Actually as I type this review I realize I would not recommend this hotel if you have other options. It´s a good "B choice".

Very quiet and nice hideaway from the business of ubud Centre. The staff are so attentive and friendly which completely made the trip. The restaurant has the most amazing food we have had in Bali so far, we ate there every night.

No wifi. Extremely loud fridge. Sometimes no hot water. Housekeeper keeps knocking on the door in the morning. Front desk manager seemed annoyed just by the second question. Can hear the employees all day in the room. Bedlight was out of order. Amazing pool. Breakfast is made to order and an omelet takes 30min to serve when it was the only order at the moment. Small portion. Not sure why they wouldnt just serve me two meals when I was paying for two persons anyway.

I stayed in two different rooms; the one with a balcony was much better than the "honeymoon suite," which was dark and without a balcony. The included à la carte breakfast was good although the service a little rocky. The hotel is surrounded by jungle and set back from the main road, which makes it overall quiet, but the animals were quite loud, particularly the 4am morning rooster calls. Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. They should instruct their hotel staff not to grill solo female travellers about their marital and family status; I got a thorough questioning when I arrived; would have been annoying anytime, but was particularly unwelcome after 30 hours of air travel.

Lovely hotel with great service. Great area. I would absolutely stay there again

This hotel was convenient enough to walk to the main road of Ubud, and far enough away to be quiet and tranquil. We stayed in room 205 which was spacious and had fantastic views of the surrounding trees and the pool below. It's about a 15 to 20-minute walk to Monkey Forest, and maybe 10 minutes to Yoga Barn which is at the end of the street.

Staff and pool area were lovely. The room was very damp and smelly, could do with renovation (chipped dirty walls etc) room was also right in front of the restaurant so very noisy at night

Beautiful hotel close to centre of Ubud yet feels a million miles away from everything. Room was lovely (101) however air con didn’t reach the coolness we were after. Millions of ants which you’d expect being in the middle of the jungle. Just call front desk and they’ll send the boys down to spray and remove. Great breakfast daily with a view over the jungle. Fantastic coffee shop next door and a few great warungs close by if you didn’t feel like the 10 min walk to centre. Pool was insane! Put aside a day to spend lying by the pool with a few Bintangs and a club sandwich from the restaurant. I will return to this hotel however next time I will spend the extra money on the rooms poolside. Plenty of steps to climb so if you have bad knees or are elderly I’d think twice about staying here. Overall a fantastic stay!
