Hotel Vila Ombak

Very satisfied with our stay at the Vila Ombak Hotel. Strategically located, comfortable, and clean.

The location is very strategic, close to the center of the city, but not noisy at night. The breakfast menu needs improvement, as it's very basic and boring.

The FO Manager was beyond expectations; she offered me help without me asking. The staff are wonderful people. One feedback for the hotel is only the lighting; some of your bathrooms' lighting was so dim, and also along the gardens towards the rooms. I was at the deluxe area. The rest was awesome!

Me and my friends are satisfied with the hotel. The location is a little bit far, around 600-700m from the jetty, so it's not noisy at night. But you need to walk a little bit to arrive at the hotel from the jetty. If you are healthy and fit, it’s not a problem at all. The room is clean and spacious. The bathroom is huge. Agoda advertised the room for 3 people, but upon check-in, the receptionist worried that the bed doesn’t fit the 3 of us and recommended us to upgrade to another room. But we declined the offer since we are just small, petite Asian women, so the bed fit just nice for us. The breakfast is amazing; they have a variety of fruits. Bike rental to stroll around the island is also available at the receptionist. However, I think they can clean the swimming pool a little bit since it looks quite dirty.

The first reason to stay here is the location (very close to the harbor), about a 5-minute walk; secondly because it's a legendary hotel. I really liked my first impression, the view was great, the hotel was beautiful, the receptionist was friendly, and when I arrived, the room was ready, even though it was only 1 am. I don't know why I was upgraded to a barn room, which is located a bit in the front, so it's not far from the restaurant. The room was clean and quite spacious, but because it's a barn, it's a bit of a challenge to go to the toilet, because the toilet and bathroom are downstairs, while the bed is upstairs, and the stairs are tiny, so sometimes it's a bit nerve-wracking to go down. The shower area is open, so if you're not traveling with family, it might feel a bit awkward, lol, but it's fun, it feels like bathing in nature. It was so much fun that my son suddenly started showering frequently. The hotel area is on the main road, but once in the room it's quite quiet, not noisy with the surrounding crowds. There's also an ATM center in front, so it's not difficult if you need cash. The food is quite good, with a decent variety. The chocolate milk is really good. Overall, staying here was very pleasant. If I go to Gili Trawangan, I will come back again, but maybe I will choose a regular room.

Good hotel, recommended, very strategic location, clean

The hotel grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. There are many trees and gardens. There are two swimming pools. The Lumbung rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is also friendly.

Great property and location but the rooms are very underwhelming and basic

Location is great! not too far from the harbor and beachfront. Very nice beach! Check in flexibility’s for us when arrive 30 minutes earlier. Bad things are the beds at the beach are not ready. You always need to ask for the mattress. Pool was with yellow stuff something from the plants. I had my bikini top white and it’s yellow now. I tried to brushed it with soap as the bartender suggested but nothing worked. One of the bartender was not paying attention and always chewing. It’s annoying to see! The tables at the restaurant are dirty not wipe! Need to ask the staff who always gathered and busy talked to each other to wipe it. Especially during breakfast time. The woman chef in the omelette station needs some help. Very bad omelette maker and always upset. None of the staff speak english well enough. The room is good space but cleanliness’s are poor. Old stuffs. Towels need to be renewed. Shower head was really bad. Toilet was shaking and bad smell. Too many geckos.

Our family took a Villa type room with a private pool, the kids were very happy to be able to swim after playing on the beach. The room is also spacious, the bathroom has a bathtub.

Near the harbor, strategic location, delicious food, bicycles to get around the island are available, so far I have really enjoyed staying here.

The villa is very nice, clean, has a private pool, cold air conditioning, soft bed, highly recommended for those who want to relax
