The best thing here is the view, it's very impressive and beautiful, plus the staff is very friendly, making you feel at home, and I think if I were asked to come back, I would, hehehe.
The only small suggestion or input that could be improved is regarding the food. I ordered fried rice at the restaurant, the rice was very dry and very dry even though the price was quite good. The air conditioning in the room was also a bit noisy, so sleeping was uncomfortable. That's all, otherwise it was wonderful. Thank you Laska Hotel

This time, it's a short trip from Jakarta to Laska Resort, Ciletuh, Sukabumi, about 4 hours by car. Luckily, there wasn't much traffic there yesterday. (This review was dated August 16, 2025.)
Here are some tips for those planning to go there:
1. Make sure your car is in good condition. Avoid sedans or cars with low ground clearance, as some of the roads are damaged and steep. Driving skill is essential here, as there are some extreme inclines and descents.
2. Make sure you bring plenty of snacks and food, as the convenience store is very far away.
3. Make sure you're only staying there. If you want to eat out at night, make sure you're mentally strong, as there are no streetlights at all, and it's pitch black.
4. If you're passing through Cibadak, Cimanggu, and Palabuhan Ratu, within 30 minutes of normal time to the hotel, that's the last convenience store and gas station, and there are no more. 5. The bridge that was damaged yesterday was reopened on August 17, 2025, and can now be crossed. No need to use the damaged road anymore.
6. The hotel staff is very friendly, from security, to the helpdesk, and all the other staff members, they are very helpful.
7. There is no elevator, but they are very friendly to the disabled.
8. The building has 5 floors. The 3rd floor (family room) definitely doesn't have an ocean view; instead, you get a roof tile view. When I was there, someone was forced to downgrade because the 3rd floor only offers a roof tile view (cmiiw).
9. No deposit required.
10. The rooms are very clean. The air conditioning is a bit lacking during the day due to the extremely hot weather, even though it's a Da*kin brand, with a mini chiller and hot water available.
11. There's also a restaurant open until 10:00 PM (if I'm not mistaken).
12. Enjoy the sunset from your ocean view room.

It was good but should have been better . 3 from 5 for now . Will give more if you improve!
What's good: Views, Quiet area (not much loud vehicles), Friendly Staff, Facility
What's not: Breakfast Service (we expected buffet but we got ala carte - mini buffet) - Management Professionalism (management meeting and smoking around guests especially to those have asthma) - Soundproof problem (You can hear next door (disrespectful guest) noises really loud)

Sunday, the 27th, I went there, my God, the road was very steep, the incline would break early on. If you go there, your car must be in good condition and the brakes must be good, the incline, my God, there are not many bridge repairs, beeuh, the hotel is good, the road is full of inclines early on and broken.

The best hotel with sunset views in Ciletuh. But there are still many shortcomings for a resort, despite its new and modern building.
The downsides are:
1. When I was there, the pool was full in the afternoon, so the pool was packed to capacity to watch the sunset.
2. The pool towels were out of stock, leaving many children cold, walking to their rooms in the strong afternoon wind.
3. Because it's isolated from everywhere, we ate dinner, lunch, and dinner at the hotel, with a limited menu.
4. Breakfast at 8:15 was empty, and the refill process took a long time, making guests wait. There were no staff on duty to monitor the empty plates or anything else.
When refills were done, the quantities were small, only 5-7 pieces, so by the time three guests had finished eating, they were empty again.
On the second day, I arrived for breakfast at 8:00 a.m. and the same situation persisted. When I asked the staff if the sausages had been refilled, they said they were all gone. I was a bit dumbfounded by this answer. The food tastes 6 out of 10.
5. When I left, I left the key for them to update.
2 hours later, I returned and got the key and went to the room. It hadn't been updated, so I had to go back down to the lobby.
6. There was no hair dryer. When I called, they said they were on a waiting list, but they never came.
7. Housekeeping was only on duty, so they were probably in a rush, which resulted in the lack of cleanliness.
Hopefully, management will improve Laska Ciletuh in the future.
The sunset view is top-notch.
The security guards are very friendly.
I suggest bringing lots of snacks and drinks if you're planning to visit here. It's a long way from everywhere and the hike is winding.
But it's worth a try 😊
