Novotel Palembang - Hotel & Residence

It was a very fun weekend with the kids at Novotel Palembang, with a large swimming pool for kids and food that also suits the kids' tastes.

Okay, great for those who want to take the family on a staycation. For the future, I might consider going there again 👍

The place is comfortable, and the pool isn't far. Just be careful when walking to the pool, as you might slip if you wear hotel slippers. The food is delicious, but the menu isn't extensive. Improvements are needed. This hotel is highly recommended for a vacation. The view from the back garden is average, but there are a lot of mosquitoes, so the hotel provides mosquito spray. The only thing that needs improvement, in my opinion, is the food menu. There are only a few menu items.

The room was spacious enough for a junior suite, but the amenities felt similar to a standard room. I only got two bottles of mineral water, an empty refrigerator, and nothing else to indicate I was staying in a junior suite other than the fact that the room was large.

The room is spacious, the mattress and pillows are very soft. Insect repellent is available, but sometimes mosquitoes might come in because the environment is beautiful with lots of trees. Very comfortable. The food is okay, but the dragon fruit fried rice is salty, the fried noodles and the teh tarik are too sweet. Overall, it's great. I want to come back here again.

Overall, it was okay. However, I was a little disturbed by the noise from outside that still entered the room (the sounds of the night market and the devil's barrel from behind the hotel). Furthermore, the hotel TV was a regular TV, so I couldn't access YouTube from it.

Things that need improvement: 1. The receptionist needs to be more thorough. I was staying on a motorcycle. I entered the lobby with my wife wearing helmets, and even wore helmets at check-in. Check-in was on Sunday, 4/5 PM. When asked for my vehicle registration number, I stated it was a motorcycle, but I was still allowed to enter the car. Finally, upon checkout, I still paid the full parking fee. The motorcycle counter employee asked me to go back to the hotel lobby to ask. I chose to pay because the long queue for motorcycles was also difficult to back out. 2. Receptionist: The deposit of 500,000 Rupiah should have been informed to us as customers that the deposit was made by bank transfer upon check-out on Saturday/Sunday, and would be refunded by bank transfer on Tuesday. Coincidentally, when I checked out, there were also women on the right who were upset by this information. I'm sure the customers weren't concerned about the money, but rather the trivial information they weren't told when they wanted to deposit. At the very least, they could have informed us.

The service is okay, the food is not complete but the taste is quite good.. the atmosphere is the best of all the hotels in Palembang, the only minus is that I get fed up seeing people hanging around the parking lot at night.

Great... Next time I will stay here again.
