I like this hotel and it's my second time I stay here. It's just across the Bogor Botanical Garden and close to the mall. The room is clean and good size. The staffs are friendly too. I recommend this hotel to my friends.

I had the chance to stay at the Hotel Royal Bogor some time ago, and my experience was quite pleasant. The check-in process was very quick and hassle-free—even when I arrived early, the staff were still friendly and helpful. The service was truly super helpful. Every time I needed help, whether it was with directions or additional room requests, they responded with a smile and a quick response. It felt like a genuine welcome, not just a hotel formality. The location is also top-notch! The hotel is close to Bogor's food and culinary center, so you can enjoy a variety of delicious food in the evenings just a short walk away. Overall, the Hotel Royal Bogor is perfect for those looking for comfortable accommodations, friendly service, and a strategic location in the city center. It will definitely be one of my choices again when I return to Bogor.

The downside is that the night lights were all off, so I turned on the bathroom light and opened it slightly to let in some light when the main light was turned off. You could hear the chairs moving slightly, but it wasn't a problem. Amenities were incomplete, such as no shampoo, no snacks provided, only water in a pitcher and sachet drinks. The corridor was a bit dim, so it wasn't good for photos because it was dark. There was no hair dryer provided either.
The plus side is that the staff were friendly, the breakfast was delicious and quite complete, the swimming pool was adequate, not too big or small. The place was comfortable, close to everywhere, you can walk, the security guard was very friendly, and there was no parking fee because it was in the basement. The hotel concept is luxurious and old-fashioned, but still good, no deposit required, check-in and check-out were easy and fast. I will come back here again, thank you.

As for the 4* standard, I think it's still quite lacking.
The room was still quite dirty, the phone was online but didn't connect to reception. They provided a pitcher of water but didn't provide refills. It would have been better to just provide bottled mineral water.
The TV remote only had a set-top box; you had to request another remote from reception (?).
The bathroom had a (large) trash can.
Breakfast was generally okay, and there weren't many options.

The hotel staff is friendly. Hair dryers are not available in the room, but you can request one from the receptionist and have it delivered directly. Shampoo is not available. If you bring sweet drinks or food, you must clean it immediately because it attracts lots of small ants. The food at the restaurant is varied and delicious, plus there are herbal drinks and Bogor sweets. When they run out, the hotel staff is quick to refill them. The room table is still dusty, so you have to double clean it with wet wipes. In the bathroom, the shower water stagnates so it doesn't go to the drain. The Wi-Fi is unstable and sometimes off.

The hotel is easy to access, close to the mall, close to Surken. The lobby is spacious, check in is easy, breakfast food is less varied, the pool is small but the view is great. But I had an unpleasant experience yesterday when I stayed. In room 302, there was no mountain view, and what was really disturbing was the sound of motorbikes speeding in the middle of the night (because the hotel is on the side of the road). This made me unable to sleep soundly. It was really disturbing, I don't know if it was because I got a room on the 3rd floor right in front of the road. Next time I don't want to stay in 302. Otherwise, it's really comfortable.
