Stayed for 2 nights in this hostel, this place is perfect for backpackers who want to travel under a budget but still cover for comfy. The strategic location allowed me to explore around some destinations in Malang city, while enjoying some culinary not too far from the hostel. Staffs were very friendly, well, this is Java, everyone here is friendly! I stayed in female only room, the pods are decent, bed sheet and blanket are spotless clean. Shared bathroom was clean and looked well maintained. Hot water available 24/7 (i guess) and the water pressure is good too. There is a Fugu cafe downstairs where you can have a time for yourself, enjoy some coffee or other food and beverages. Get 20% discount just by showing your access card to the barista :) Overall, I had good memories staying in SO! Boutique hostel. Will definitely come back here if I have a chance to visit Malang again some day. Keep up the good work!

This accommodation is perfect if you want to explore Malang and just need a place to sleep. The design is very unique and catchy, with a simple but still comfortable bed. The bathroom is clean and has water heather. One thing that I love the most from this accommodation is the location which is very strategic and easy to be reached. The staff is very kind, welcome and friendly!

The hostel is clean, for solo travelers, it is suitable to stay in this hostel. Underneath there is a cafe so don't be confused if you want to find food and have beautiful coffee. There is one officer named calvin, he also wants to queue to the airport (ps with a motor yes) friendly also all officers. Will be back here again someday👌🏻

Room smell like cigarette and mouldy. Very dirty in every corner of the hostel. Other guest are also noisy taking phone call. When i did the check in around 5.30 am the staff are all asleep.

Staff was okay, bed was also okay.. but the cleanliness is terrible. Sink was dirty, toilet also dirty, shower room was also dirty. Location is the best in town.

Thank you very much to the staff and crew of So Boutique Hostel, I stayed here for quite a long time, 6 days and 5 nights for a vacation, the access is close to everywhere, thank you very much, the vacation was very memorable for me, for a solo traveler like me it is very suitable here, next time I come to Malang I will come here again, the place is clean, free wifi, the bathroom has hot water too, basically the best of the best, thank you very much So Boutique Hostel, thank you also Traveloka 🙏🩵🩵

Just a suggestion:
The concept is great, everything feels minimalist.
However, please pay attention to the cleanliness of the beds and toilets. This could be improved soon to make our stay more memorable. It's not just about aesthetics, but also about suitability. Thank you.

The front desk staff is friendly and very helpful.
The location is strategic and the price is very affordable for transit.
Suitable for backpackers, not so suitable for those with a more casual lifestyle.
Management's suggestion: adding a dedicated staff member to clean the bathroom area, as the bathroom is used by many people and tends to get dirty quickly.
Overall, it's well worth it for a minimal budget.

The cooking utensils weren't washed properly, and the towels, even if they were, weren't clean.
The toilet had a small shower head and a small running water supply, and the sink mirror looked like it had never been wiped clean. The sink also had a small water supply, and some of the toilets couldn't be used.

kamar kotor, sprei kotor banget ga ada wangi”nya samsek. ruangan masih kotor banya tisu bekas.
kamar satunya tidak dibersihkan juga, bahkan selimut masih acak”an.
kamar mandii kotor poll, sampah berceceran dimana”, dikamar mandi ga ada tempat sampah.
wastafel kotor.
di loker, banyak handuk” bekas ga diambil.
sepertinya staffnya pemalas, ada 3 tapi cuma malah gitaran dan main”.
