Staying at Sultan Hotel was nice! I have been staying here twice with different room views. First towards the pool, and the second one towards the GBK. Ambiance/Facilities: The ambiance was cozy. The facilities were so many. Food: Night buffet was delicious and various, so was the breakfast. Staff Assistance: Friendly and helpful. Highlights: The food is the main reason besides the strategic location. Price: Was reasonable, what I paid is what I get. Location: Near GBK, so close.

Chose this hotel because it is close to Istora Senayan, check in is easy, the luxurious aura is still felt, even though it is classic it is still well maintained, friendly staff, clean rooms, bathrooms with bathtubs, cold AC, hot and cold water that works well, check out is also easy, enter the hotel through the door on Jl. Sudirman, suitable for staying especially if there is an event around GBK.

The hotel is very comfortable and in a prime location, very close to GBK, the mall, and other popular attractions. It's an older hotel, but very clean, with authentic Indonesian design. When I took a shower, I was shocked because it turned out that the HOT-Cold label was not correct.. the HOT water tap turned out to be regular water and the plain one turned out to be HOT. I was a bit panicked because when it wasn't hot yet, I turned the regular tap a little bit and the plain one turned it a lot (my thought was so that it wouldn't be too hot when the hot water really came out).. it turned out to be hot and steamy straight away... Got a room near the pool area, with a view of the pool and green fields. Unfortunately the sandals weren't the same as in the previous room I'd stayed in, batik slippers.. for a very strategic location and a wide variety of delicious breakfast menu, it's a shame you have to queue for breakfast.

My first experience here, starting from the parking lot far from the hotel lobby, going around through the basement. The service at the reception was so-so. But when we checked in, we weren't informed which floor the restaurant was on. Guests had to ask first. Usually, the staff gives detailed information to guests. Then, at breakfast, we were free to choose a seat, but it was already full. Finally, we asked the staff to find us a table. After we had our breakfast, our table was taken. I wonder how that happened. The SOP should have at least included a card indicating the table was occupied or something to avoid miscommunication with other guests. We moved again. I was no longer in the mood for breakfast 🙂 I don't know what happened to the guest with low human resources who pushed the dirty plate to my table, even though he wasn't there before the staff helped us find a table. Enough for a first experience here.

I had an event in GBK area therefore staying here was perfect.
However the confusion is on the access into and out from the hotel 🤣
Other than that was great.
The minibar was good even the soft drinks are free. Cool.

I highly recommend The Sultan Hotel for anyone attending a concert at GBK! It's only a 15-minute walk away, so you can forget about traffic worries. The staff are incredibly helpful and go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They're always willing to lend a hand and make sure you have everything you need. Overall, it's a great choice for a hassle-free and enjoyable experience.

A pleasant stay,
Hotel view of GBK.
Must choose a room in the Lagoon Tower.
The rooms seem nicer than the Kudus Tower.
But the breakfast food is mediocre in terms of taste and variety.

Stayed during the JRF event, the start and finish were right in front of the hotel, great! The only inconvenience was that vehicles had to go around a long way to get in and out because Gate 7 Senayan was closed.

This is our first experience in your hotel , and I would like to share some feedback regarding my recent stay :
1. We request for Non-Smoking room, on the day we came, during check-in the reception assgined us for smoking room without confirming to us. Only by phone to operation we complain and the answer also shocked us "bcs the occupancy was high, so we managed to give smoking room instead of non-smoking" We thought that the answers also not wise enough. Such information could be communicated to us before we headed to the room, during check in.
2. We moved to another non-smoking room, and found out that the bed was uneven, and also the size of the bed different with the previous room (Twin Bed size 160x200 to Twin Bed size 140x200). We already tired and did not want to request another room change. Please ensure rooms are double checked before assigning them.
3. The best part of the hotel experience was the location, which is conveniently next to the GBK. However, aside from the experience was below our expectation and not fully satisfactory for 5 stars hotel.

Even though I only spent a few hours here, it was a pleasant experience. The check-in process went smoothly even though I only checked in on the second day. There were no issues at all. The food was great, although the waiting time was a bit long. I tried the fried rice and the salmon steak, both were excellent, absolutely delicious. This is my second time staying here whenever there’s an event at GBK, and I’ll definitely stay here again next time.
