I was really excited to stay here, mainly because of the amazing view of Mount Fuji, and it absolutely delivered. The rooftop view was incredible and definitely one of the highlights of our stay. Especially since it was a clear sunny day, not a cloud to be seen! The room itself was okay. The television was quite small, though we didn’t really watch it anyway, and we understood that rooms in Japan can be a bit smaller. The experience of sleeping on the traditional tatami is very neat. The only disappointing part was the complimentary breakfast experience. Guests could choose between a traditional Japanese breakfast, an egg salad sandwich, or another sandwich option. Our whole family had loved the egg salad sandwiches throughout Japan, so we selected those. Unfortunately, there was a mix-up and we were served the traditional breakfast instead. When we asked if it could be changed, we were told it was too late. To be fair the traditional breakfast was quite good. It seemed more like a communication breakdown than anything else. Overall, it was still a nice place to rest and enjoy the beautiful Mount Fuji views. Also, make sure to eat at Oden nearby, great food!

Great location, price, staff, breakfast and amenities for a small town in Japan. The front desk staff were always very kind and accommodating. Staying in the watermelon was fun too!

Pretty great view of Mt Fuji from the Fuji-view room. Helpful staff and bike rental. Only downside (although a very small issue) was the entire bathroom moves a little bit, not too much, but enough to feel a little off balanced

The location is good but the suica room had a lingering odor that was very off-putting - the 4 airfilter machines in the room did not disguise it . The heating and cooling was difficult to maintain and the skylight in the middle of the ceiling made sleeping in impossible. The breakfast is mediocre at best. The clothes dryers are underpowered so it takes much longer to dry even a small amount of clothes than is normal. The best thing was the view of Fuji-San from the rooftop.

Room is clean, breakfast is great and the view is excellent, my kids love and enjoy the stay. Thank you!

The room was wonderful and the tatami mat area was great to journal in!! We loved the rooftop view of Mt. Fuji and would stay again! ;)

Being able to rent bikes from the hotel was awesome and at a better price.

The rooftop has a gorgeous view of Mt Fuji. The room is spacious and they have bikes for rental. Delicious breakfast. You can walk to the station if you want (easier to stop and take pictures), but they have a daily shuttle service to take you to the station

HAOSTAY was good overall, helpful staff and clean property. Excellent view of Mt Fuji and close by to main travel links.

The staff were super helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good.

Breakfast was limited. If you have a view room of mt fuji, it is great. Wasn't our favorite hotel in Japan but it was nice.

Staff spoke very good English. Location, 10 - 15 minutes walk from main bus station. Room was clean, tidy, and spacious. Beds were comfy and large. Free access to roof to view Fuji.

Great staff, solid amenities, clean, great views of Mt Fuji. Shuttle back and forth to Kawaguchiko Bus Station was very useful.

Very nice and convenient for the location and price. They have bike rentals onsite and I recommend getting an electric one because they’re very fast and you can keep up with traffic and get around very easily
