karaksa hotel Osaka Namba

Overall nice experience at this hotel.

The first room assigned to us smelled musty. The front desk clerk moved us to the top floor which was better. We just had to wait for about 30 minutes to have it ready. Otherwise, it was a good experience overall.

I loved this place! It was centrally and perfectly located, they also offered welcome drinks and snacks, that you could enjoy everyday - it was great! The facial products and amenities were awesome. And the shower was top notch!! The hotel itself was super clean, well maintained - and the staff were extremely attentive and friendly! I would def stay again the next time I’m in Osaka! ❤️

Clean and spacious room, and very convenient walking location to subways and tons of close by attractions. Staff were super helpful with luggage delivery and any inquires regarding transportation. There was an incoming typhoon (that ended up missing us) and staff had weather updates every 3 hours in the lobby. Overall great experience

Location for Osaka worked out well for us. I felt it was centrally located. It was close to transit stations and made it easy for day trips on the subway and railway.

Great location right in the heart of Namba. We were able to walk almost everywhere easily, which made exploring Osaka very convenient. Check-in, however, felt a bit chaotic and confusing upon arrival. We booked connecting rooms for our family of five — one room with three beds and the other with two. While many reviews describe the rooms as large by Japanese standards, they still felt extremely tight for three people, especially with luggage. There was very little space to comfortably store or access our bags. The rooms did include a refrigerator, and the hotel offers complimentary drinks and coffee downstairs, which was a nice touch. The showers were surprisingly spacious, and the amenities were excellent. They provided toothbrushes, brushes, facial cleansers, lotions, creams, hair products, pajamas, and slippers, which we appreciated. A few additional things to note: there is no gym at the hotel, and construction was taking place during our stay, which added some noise and disruption at times. Unfortunately, the breakfast was very disappointing. After trying it the first morning, we chose not to use that amenity again during our stay. Overall, while the location is excellent, we noticed a neighboring hotel in the same area that appeared similarly priced but significantly nicer. Because of that, I think there are better options in Namba that still offer the same convenience and location benefits. Personally, I would not stay here again.

It wasn’t a large hotel, but it was conveniently located and very clean.

Nice clean property. The employees were very helpful and courteous.

The staff was as kind as it could be possible, very helpful, made the checking and check out processes very simple and in no time. Breakfast is good.

Great staff . My first flight was canceled and I had to make adjustments to my stay and they made it super easy . Great place and great staff . AC could use some work but overall would stay again

Air conditioning has 2 settings only, on and off. You can’t change the point so if you like a really cold room this may not be your place. It works well enough as a retreat from the summer heat. They currently have some renovations in work but the property is still well maintained for the open areas. Overall very clean with helpful staff in the reception area.

Good, clean room and helpful staff. The air conditioning is very poor and despite having it on full blast and the lowest temperature setting the room was very hot. I have not had this issue at the many other hotels we stayed at on our trip. Great option otherwise, but if you need to be cold to sleep, I would think twice about staying here.

This hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very small no place to store your luggage and they had a table with 2 small chairs that wasn’t needed in the room all it did was make the space more crowded. The air conditioner was older and it wasn’t efficient the room didn’t really get cool at all only at night. The shower was nice and had a rainfall shower head if you wanted to use that, the bathroom was in a separate room. One thing I liked about the hotel was that they had a 24hr lounge area where you could get free soft drinks, coffee, and tea and also snacks and the area could be used for eating take out food or just to get out of the small room for a bit. They also had a washer and dryer that I used but the dryer didn’t dry all our clothes and it didn’t have the option to just use the dryer only I informed the front desk and they knew about the dryer and gave us directions to another coin laundry down the street, I wished they would of been told to us before using the washer/dryer or at least had signage to let us know. My husband tried the buffet he wasn’t impressed with the food at all. It was an enjoyable stay and would stay again even with the minor inconveniences it was still a nice place to stay and the location was excellent in proximity to food, shopping, and the train stations.

Hotel has been recently renovated and was in excellent condition. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was a good size and in excellent condition. Hotel is close to all major Attractions and an easy walk to the entertainment district- would definitely recommend if visiting Osaka.

Great place to be based when you want to explore Osaka and Kyoto

Step away from Dotonbori and Shinsaibashisuji, very convenient to shop and eat. The staffs are very friendly too, we dropped off the luggages before check in time, they helped us to bring into our room after we came back later.

Room was tight for luggage space but overall comfortable for 3 adults. We didn’t stay in room very much so it wasn’t an issue. The free drinks and snacks were a welcome bonus. Would stay again if we were in Japan.

Staff were very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.
