Compared to typical Tokyo hotel rooms, our double twin room at Koko Hotel Ikebukuro was unexpectedly spacious. Lots of room for our 2 large suitcases and carryon. Large vanity table with kettle, ice bucket, cups, glasses inside the drawer. No closet but one cabinet with 3 shelves, and a hanging wall with 6 hangers. In room a/c, bidet in washroom and a tub/shower with a large sink (I hate tiny sinks!) Window to peek at weather outside. They have eco friendly initiative so rooms are cleaned every 3rd day but they do change towels daily, if desired, via special bags hung outside your room. Same with garbage. They provide yukata which is changed every 3rd day, together with the sheets. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and face/hand wash in room are DHC Olive Care and smell divine. Lots of complimentary self serve amenities in the lobby like toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, shave gel, cleansing oil, cleanser, toner and cream, bath salts, swabs, ear plugs, hair oil, hair tie, coffee, green tea, assorted tea bags and they give you special local dashi as welcome gift. Very nice touch. There are 3 coin operated washing machines ¥300/load and 3 dryers ¥100/30min on site as well as vending machines and ice machines. There’s a fresh orange juice machine just outside the hotel entrance. Location is excellent. Lots of cafes, I’m Donuts?, restaurants, shopping nearby and Ikebukuro station is 7-10min walk. Local square has pop up events. Highly recommend!
