Lovely warm place with nice ground floor area

We were only there for one evening. The room was very clean and even available for us earlier than check in. That was much appreciated after an overnight flught. The beds were comfy. We slept like babies. I had a little trouble with the hot water but worked it out. The room is basic and clean.all that you need.

We had a very nice stay here and would definitely stay again. Very friendly and chatty on reception and it's a great location for getting around, decor slightly dated but nothing that bothered us in the slightest.

Very modest hotel and frankly, overpriced. The rooms are incredibly small with paper thin walls, so you can hear everyone in the other rooms around you. There is no AC, and rooms can be very hot. The WiFi is very bad, at times bouncing me offline when just surfing the web.

Quiet, near a lovely large park where you can have a picnic or a beer and dinner too!

Desk people were exceptionally helpful in arranging our trips around Amsterdam.

The people….wonderful location, with many transportation options, but the hotel staff were simply terrific. Accessible to many tourist attractions.

Absolutely lovely from check-in to check-out. The most friendly staff(Jessica was wonderful and helped me get situated), and very safe and well lit street for a solo traveller. Special and looking forward to my next visit, thank you.

This was my third time at this property and have liked it. THIS time, however, I was informed that guests are not allowed to have guests in their room. You have to socialize in the lobby. This happened as I was headed to my room with a guest. Not posted anywhere in the lobby or on Expedia or informed at check-in. Said it was because of noise complaints in the past.

I loved my stay at Owl Hotel (stayed 3 days) but here’s some info on what I liked and disliked so you can decide if it’ll work for your trip. Likes: -It’s the absolute best location. We walked everywhere, and if you’re not in the mood to walk too much there’s a tram and bus stop very nearby. Super close to the main city area with bars/shops/etc., and also very close to Vondel Park which was a beautiful spot for morning strolls and breakfast. That being said, it’s a good enough distance from main areas that we weren’t kept up with street noise. -It’s super cute and just has more character than if you went to a big chain hotel. If you’re looking for somewhere with some charm, this place is great. -Staff was very friendly and helpful. -Room was nice and clean Dislikes (or just things you may want to know: -there doesn’t seem to be much ability to control your room temperature. We visited in February so we didn’t mind it much, but if you visit in summer and need AC, maybe think twice. -When you leave for the day they have you leave your room key with the front desk for security. That’s fine, but I noticed when we’d come back to collect our key we’d say our room number and they just gave us the key, even though it was often a different person on shift who didn’t know our faces. I didn’t feel unsafe at all but it does seem a bit unprofessional/ safety risk that they’ll just hand out the room key no questions asked. Would make me nervous if I had been travelling solo.

It was exactly what I needed.

The location was nice but the room has stained carpet and was missing key things. Mainly the bed was not as expected and when I asked if there is a different room with a bed two people can fit in they said "no, we're fully booked and no room has a bigger bed". I thought the room was supposed to have a mini fridge, it didn't but they offered to store our things in the fridge at the front desk; We did and it wasn't cold. Another strange thing was we needed to give the room key back each time we left to go places; this felt like an invasion of privacy.

Basic hotel, but the location and staff are excellent.

All the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

arrived on the 379 bus from the airport plus less than a 5 minute walk. From arrival to departure the staff couldnt have been nicer. Breakfast was plentiful and a good variety. The main galleries are within less than 10 minutes walk.
