The room and location were great. Awesome food, we didn’t do the expensive breakfast buffet. I wish they would have had an actual gym with actual equipment. But all else was great.

Very clean and well laid out room. Very comfortable bed. Appreciated the kitchenette although the hob would not turn on when frying pan was on it. Only when large pot was. Staff were professional, pleasant and helpful. Easy check out. Would stay here again.

Loved the hotel and it's location, staff really friendly and helpful and was great to come back from North Sea Jazz and win down before going to bed. Thought the bathroom arrangement could be better, having the sink outside of the shower cubicle was a bit awkward and could've done with a bit more privacy relating to that.

I booked a single room 1 adult, only to be put into a double pod which I’ve never stayed in before and was a very harrowing experience not having any window no phone reception or WiFi I felt very claustrophobic

Cheap, but there are downsides. There's no bathroom. The bathroom is literally inside the room. No phone in the room, you have to go to the main lobby for everything. Absolutely zero amenities. But yes, super cheap and centrally located.

I like the idea but at €200 per night for a pod and a shared shower room or €350 more to upgrade to a room with shower is just a joke, sure hotel booking were sky high that week. The normal rate is €60 per night and you should stick to that even when prices increase. Little things you could improve is put some coat hangers in the room and showers plus USB ports in the room. You also should be able to increase or decrease the amount of ventilation. Air circulation in your sleep space is bad. Try to get a room where you sleep on the top, or hope there isn’t a couple above you. The common areas are great, didn’t manage to see the games room but wish I had.

Arrived at the Usual for another few days as the family live very close by and this hotel is very convenient but the room was extremely cold. The outside temperature was 16 degrees and the air conditioning was on in my room and the fan was blowing out very cold air. Hardly the weather for air conditioning to be on. I spoke to reception and was told that the temperature was set the same for all the rooms and she would turn off the fan. However the room the next day the room was too cold. I am 83 years old and do not enjoy being in this temperature as it is not good for my health. As the Usual is where I choose to stay to be close to my family, sadly I will be using another hotel for my future visits. The Check In staff were very helpful and charming but the Bar staff were most unfriendly and not at all welcoming to your guests.

The jr suite room was nice for our family but a bit cramped. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. Could use better curtains to block out the light especially in summer when the sun is up for a majority of the day. It was nice that there is a good cafe/coffee shop in the lobby but it is a mistake to have it as the entrance to the hotel. The only way to get to your room is through a very busy coffee shop. There is a very small hotel reception at the back of the coffee shop and it is not convenient when you are trying to navigate the coffee shop with your luggage. There should be a separate entrance to just the hotel rooms. The staff was nice but no one will assist with luggage or even open or hold a door. There is no vehicle pick up or drop off area in front of this hotel. Decent hotel for upscale backpackers or people traveling alone but not really great for families or people with real luggage. The location is excellent for walking the city.

My daughter and I stay for a week and their lounge area was amazing. After sightseeing all day we enjoyed playing cards and having drinks on the comfy couches and seats. Their menu was great and affordable. Good location with short walk to the train station and the market.
