Megapolis Hotel Panamá

The check in was bad as they tried to downgrade me from 2 bedroom suite to a 1 bedroom and then made me wait until after 4pm to check in.

The language barrier in Panama makes alot of things difficult. Maid service came way early and if you asked them to come back later they never do. Wifi was so terrible, we were on data the whole trip. None of the rooms offered a microwave or kettle. And the refrigerator was not working. We requested someone check it twice and had no follow up so we just left it. The Bazaar restaurant staff were super helpful and breakfast was excellent. We were hoping to go to the rooftop bar Elevate but that was not opened at all. This hotel neither answer their listed phone number or return emails when we tried to contact them prior to arriving. However, we had no issues with checking in early and checking out late which was at a reasonable cost. Overall, excellent hotel with really good amenities. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Definitely don’t look like the pictures

The rooftop bar had a great view, but it only opens for events. The room was nice and provided a view of the city and the spiral building. The main bar staff wasn't helpful, but the bartender in the karaoke area was great! She was informative and also provided the complimentary champagne. The main bar staff said the complimentary drink was only juice (apple or orange).

Facilities was a bit older and the area did not have much to do in a walking distance

Check in took over an hour so we didn’t even get to enjoy our first night there.. we spent our first evening in Panama literally standing in line to check in! Completely ridiculous to wait this long! The people in front of me said they were also waiting in line over an hour. I give this hotel a 2star rating just on this issue alone.

This property is getting old, furnitures , door and elevators. In the diner room, we saw a death crockroch. I paid $150.00 USD for deposit in check -in but until now I didn't get back my money.

Staff service is really poor and the security team treats people poorly

We booked a 4 person room for 3 of us and on arrival of the 3rd person they made me paid 160usd extra and it was late the morning 2 o’clock while trying to get into the room and the security was blocking us and gathered more recruits . I was totally shock of the experience because I never experienced something like that

I reserved a suite with a balcony, asked the front desk during check-in if it was a suite with balcony got to the room and it was not. My 2nd issue is i had the Do not disturb sign on the sign and they still went into the room, then had the nerves to take my personal towels that i brought from home and didn't leave any new towels, they also threw away my handbag strap that i had lefted on the bed. The Breakfast was good
