Cascade Wellness Resort

Excellent hotel with impeccable service. The Lighthouse restaurant is great; we ate there three nights straight, The seafood is fresh, wide selection, and price is affordable. It connects directly to the boardwalk which has the best coast view in Lagos.

The property is in a great location close to beaches (walking distance), great space for relaxing and had multiple outdoor pools with 1 withspecific hours when children could attend the heated outdoor pool had plenty of parking

The property is in an ideal location on a beautiful cliff. The hotel itself is pretty nice but is definitely not a 5 star property. Our room was nice, but the common areas didn’t look or feel polished like a 5 star hotel. The exterior of the building needs to be repainted. The public bathrooms were really dirty, the hallway to our room had a dirty carpet and the walls were all scuffed up. I saw the housecleaning staff push the carts down the hall and slam into a wall, and not care a bit. We also chose not to have the room cleaned one day, but called the front desk and asked for towels and toilet paper, but nobody ever showed up. We were also planning to do some wellness activities (i.e. yoga / fitness classes) but they only hold classes during the week. That makes no sense. This is a wellness hotel (not a bank), why would they not have wellness classes on the weekends when the hotel was more full of people? At the same time, our room was spacious and pretty nice. We didn’t have any complaints about that. Except we did walk in on the cleaning people mopping the floor and it looked like the mop was dirty from other rooms. They should use a vacuum and those one-time use mops rather than use the same mop room to room to clean the bathroom and wood floors. It just spreads the germs. I think they should re-classify this as a 4 star hotel. I also think that they should consider a new GM with an eye on detail and service if they want to get to the 5 star level.

We came during the major power outage across Spain and Portugal. The staff were very friendly and assisted us as much as possible regardless of the current conditions. We stayed in the grand suite and it was very nice and spacious, my only qualm with the room itself was that for a suite it was situated in the ground floor of the building and had giant panoramic windows in the main area. This meant that every single guest that passed by the room while the windows were open would peer in and stare while you were trying to mind your own business (not very private)

We loved our stay as a family of 4. The resort is beautiful and the views of the cliffs are breathtaking. We had a 2 bedroom apartment which was clean and spacious. We loved the outdoor balcony. The breakfast had so much variety and wonderful fresh food. We ate 3 times at the pub in the main building and enjoyed every meal. I would definitely recommend this resort and hopefully will visit again.

Besutiful rooms. Attentive staff. Fantadtic coastal hiking trail adjacent to property. Lovely and relaxing. Fantastic bar and staff. Nice breakfast too.

Gaslighting, Bugs, Cold water and Mildew at a “Five Star Luxury Resort.” Cascade "Wellness" Center is NOT even close to a Five-Star Luxury resort. And the management knows this. Shame on them. They should be advertised as "Rustic cabin homes" not "Five Star Luxury Apartments/Villas." We stayed at the “luxury” two-bedroom Apartments—the apartment was smelly, old, and worn. Stains of all varieties on the furniture, scratched up chairs and tables, mildew in both closets, silverfish bugs in glassware in the kitchen, dishwasher that didn’t close properly, water running out of the washing machine(we were gaslighted by front desk staff who told us that wasn't possible), ice cold showers, mold-stained balcony and chairs, and the list goes on and on. These apartments are well-worn Holiday Inn Airport quality. We were shocked by the condition of the apartment and asked to be moved to another apartment but were told that we “had the standard two bedroom” or whatever that means. We booked through Expedia, so I guess that meant we had to be put into the worst apartment they had. Nowhere on their website does it differentiate between “standard” two bedroom. They are just called “Two Bedroom Apartments.” We didn’t have a “pool or resort view” as they advertised. Just ripped green tarp around a field and views of cars parked on the street. Cascade “Wellness” Center is a Three Star resort--at best. It's 2 star for no hot water, mildew, bugs and run down "luxury" apartments.

Great location with easy walk to cliffs and beaches.

The apartment was not like the photos online. The bedroom was outdated and there were not enough outlets. There were ants and we had to get housekeeping to come with bug killer. I would also suggest the property get a mirror as well. The spa was nice, wish it was open later. The staff were friendly.

This hotel was amazing in every way. The views outside the hotel were breathtaking. To the back was the most beautiful cliffs and to the left was the mountains and city. And there were numerous walking trails and boardwalks right outside the grounds. The sea view superior room was huge and beautiful and well equipped. The bed was so comfy with wonderful bedding and pillows - firm but giving. The bathroom was huge with a tub and large shower. Huge balcony with a beautiful view. Breakfast was very good with outside seating available and a coffee bar and champagne. Valet service was quick and the staff was soooo friendly. It’s a quick drive to old town Lagos. The spa was clean and had a sauna and steam room as well as a small outside jacuzzi and large heated pool at no extra charge. The normal pool was large and beautiful and there was even a baby pool. I cannot imagine a more perfect place to stay in Lagos. And even a great value for everything we got.

Beautiful property and the perfect spot to enjoy my time in Lagos, be it walking the paths and boardwalks to the Ponta da Piedade, relaxing by the pool, getting a massage (which I did … the best ever) or walking into this adorable beach town to shop, dine or just people/watch.

Room itself was lovely, as were the grounds and access to coastal walk. Food offering was overpriced and pretty average for the cost - would recommend eating outside of the resort, but this shouldn’t detract from the stay - it is a lovely resort.

Gorgeous! After a long drive from Evora, Cascade was a dream come true! Perfect weather, perfect setting, beautiful room, great martinis, lovely staff, steamy steam, all was fabulous. We will be back. Can’t be soon enough!

Great Stay. Shower did not have hot water, besides that stay was awesome.

The hotel is in a perfect place for walking and relaxing near Old Town Lagos. The ealks along the cliffs are breath taking. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the breakfast in the morning is absolutely fantastic. With every type of breakfast option, you can think of.

Sitting on the headland with coastal path just outside the property, it is an ideal location to view the famous rock formations at Ponta da Piedade and the lighthouse. A walk into Lagos, which is a bustling little tourist town, along the coast path takes about 40 minutes.

Beautiful resort in stunning location. Would certainly recommend and stay again.
