Novotel Edinburgh Park

I had a great stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were very helpful and friendly throughout my stay, which made the experience even better. The spa and swimming pool were excellent and a nice way to relax after a day of sightseeing. The breakfast buffet was very good with plenty of options. It is not included in the room rate, but I found it worth paying for. One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is its location. The train station is within walking distance, and it takes only about 15 minutes to reach Edinburgh city centre by train, making it very convenient for exploring the city. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.

Clean room with quite firm beds. In common with an increasing number of hotels, no Information book or menus in the room and no clear way to find info on the TV. Food was of a good quality and a varied and tasty breakfast buffet. Very good and helpful service at reception and in the restaurant. Parking charges are steep but we were offered a “deal” to join their parking club that reduced the cost considerably. A handy (albeit rather expensive) and comfortable hotel just off the motorway.

Generally a very good hotel. Gym isnt really a gym, its a room with some fitness equipment like most hotels. The rooms are great for city breaks, comfy and clean. Staff a great and helpful. I'd recommend staying here, but not for the fitness facilities.

Difficult to obtain a parking spot at busy times (there was a concert on) and struggled to pay for parking using the QR code, but went down to reception and they were very helpful

Located very close to tram and train station to go towards Edinburgh Castle or Airport. Menu food was great and breakfast had good options. Swimming Pool was nice and our kid enjoyed the pool quite a few times. All in all we enjoyed our stay at the hotel

My favourite things about the hotel were the super helpful and polite staff. The parking charges were £10 per 24h with a membership - only an issue if weren’t expecting it. I didn’t have time to use the gym or pool sadly. Breakfast was good but on Sunday suffered from UK cliche of bacon being boiled rather than grilled. Also didn’t realise until I was leaving that you had to request GF items from staff. Big bonus in they had lovely Greek yoghurt instead of the horrid low fat stuff. Literally 2 minutes walk from tram and train station to Edinburgh. Bright clean room with great bathroom.

The rooms at Novotel were spacious, modern, and comfortable. However, one issue significantly affected our stay—the hotel corridors had a persistent unpleasant smell, which seemed to come from the carpets. The odour was so strong at times that it made us feel nauseous. We hope the hotel addresses this, as the rooms themselves were otherwise very good. The hotel’s connectivity to Edinburgh city centre was excellent. The nearest ScotRail station was only a five-minute walk away, and trains reached Edinburgh Waverley in around 10 minutes. We strongly recommend using the train instead of a taxi. Although the hotel is located some distance from the city centre, travelling by road can take around 40 minutes, while the train is much quicker. Train tickets are easy to purchase through the ScotRail app, and the smooth, level walk between the station and the hotel makes it convenient even with heavy luggage. Tram and bus services were also available, providing easy access to Princes Street and other parts of the city. For convenience, Aldi and Tesco supermarkets were within a 5–7 minute walk, while KFC and Krispy Kreme were just a couple of minutes away. The hotel breakfast was good but quite expensive. Budget-conscious travellers may prefer to buy breakfast items from Tesco or Pret A Manger and store them in the in-room fridge. If breakfast cost is not a concern, the hotel’s buffet is a perfectly enjoyable option.

Pretty basic, nothing to it. Bathroom is not the best, very basic and no proper place for towel drying or even to hold towels. Hotel is decent but nothing outstanding to comeback again!

World cup games stream didn't work. Not the cleanest.
